In the morning of 01 June, Russei Keo authority and SRP officials clashed at the entrance to the Chrauy Changvar Bridge, located in Chrauy Changvar commune, Russei Keo district, because the SRP insisted on raising its party sign at that location. The Koh Santepheap newspaper reported the Russei Keo authority prevented this sign raising by claiming that the SRP did not have the authorization for it, however, about 10 SRP activists, including SRP MPs Son Chhay, Ho Vann and Sok Soty protested and tried to raise the sign. This led to the clash, but no serious injuries were sustained on either side. A source indicated that after the authority confiscated the SRP sign, SRP activists tied the party flag and the national flag on a pole that still remained there, but the authority took them down and confiscated the two flags about one hour later. SRP MP Sok Soty said that he asked for the authorization from the city hall for about one month already to install the party sign at that location, but the city hall did not provide any response to this request. After a long wait, the SRP decided to raise the sign and their action resulted in the authority preventing them from setting up this sign.

Thank you for all the help to keep Cambodia clean for our tourists. There is no need to flood the entire country with stupid political signs, especially when there are over 50 parties campaigning for election. This sort of thing can only harmed Cambodia.

This is another Sam Rainsy's trick to get attention from public by greating problem and makes the authority look bad. I will never vote for him even I hate CPP.

CPP's authority has never respected the rule of laws. All parties can exercise their rights to campaign and publicize their sign. CPP is thinking that the whole country is belonging to them...what is this stupid idea?

CPP doesn't want Cambodian peoples to exercise their freedom and rights freely...those are supporting CPP are opposing to their conscioun and mentality. They are having mentality-disorder.

I am appreciate with SRP's struggle for the true exercising of our rights.

I can't believe what I am reading here! AH HUN SEN officials have nothing better to do than to attack Sam Rainsy sign.

Tell me what happen to the fucken City Hall run by AH HUN SEN thugs and why is it so hard for them to provide a yes or a no answer to the Sam Rainsy Party requested to put up a party sign? It seems that AH HUN SEN thugs at City Hall are only answering to God!

By the way, the whole Cambodia is dotted with CPP political signs!

Hey when Ah Kwak political party wants to put up the sign, there's no problem at all with Ah Kwak's police and its supporters as the first three comments. Get lost asshole and go back to Hanoi where you belong. Your English was worse than Socheata. If she writes bad, she won't get hired by KI Media. You're dumb as your master, moreon.

Ah Hun Sen and his police force try to do whatever they can to win the election. We need a civil war if Ah Kwak gets into power this time. Don't talk with word, but with bullets.

We, Cambodian people, would like to see how the US will deal with Ah Kwak. So far the US seems to support Ah Kwak by providing military hardware and training to make Ah Kwak stronger. Who can tell me why?

Sometimes.... We don't have a real's situation.
Near the bridge Chroy Changvar, Norodom Ranariddh and Funcinpec have their own supporters to put their panels.I think they paid 100 to their supporters, plus monthly.
And if Sam Rainsy want to place their panel, they have to find a supporter's home to do it.
As you can see near Chroy Changvar, we don't have a lots of public space. It's a road.

Sam Rainsy Party do it on purpose. To publicize them.
They do weak and publicize it.
What's an ashame for a party.
They said that we must respect the law. How about SRP themselves, who have ask cpp (cambodian pro-youn party) to respect the law?
Remember, once you have install the panel, tough to take it out !!!
Do like NRP and Funcinpec, try find a supporter who is willing to put a panel for you, Mr Sam Rainsy.
