On Wednesday 24 September, King Sihamoni opened the first session of the National Assembly. Among the 123 MPs, only 4 were absent: Mrs. Tioulong Saumura, Sam Rainsy’s spouse and SRP MP, as well as the three HRP MPs, including Kem Sokha, the HRP party president, who arrived at the National Assembly too late and were prevented from entering. Sam Rainsy, accompanied by some of his party MPs, entered the National Assembly through the south gate, two minutes before the arrival of the king who, following the latter’s arrival, all entry doors to the NA were closed. Up until the last minute, the opposition leader left some doubt about the possibility that his party’s MPs may or may not join this inauguration in protest of the 27 July election results. At the end of the morning, Son Chhay, a heavy weight of the SRP, said that he was satisfied with this new Parliament session in which, “for the first time, the presentation of each MP could be conducted.” In the afternoon of Wednesday, all the MPs are called in again for the swearing-in session.

The elections are finished.
I approve the Sam Rainsy’s attitude and its presence in the National Assembly the 1st day.
Because, it is not about question of pride or about personal pride but about the respect for institutions.
Only the fanatics do not change opinion.

The democracy and the human rights are notions which are not negligible in politics but in peace time.

Look at the thailande and its sick democracy.

And, it is in the National Assembly and with its that we can advance the ideas of the opposition and not outside the NA.

Cambodia must in the days which come to appear unite and strong in the bilateral negotiation which follow with the thailande on the problem of the borders.

Because the thailande has the intention to stop in the simple bilateral negotiation which is not justified for Cambodia and in which Cambodia has to win nothing?

At the end, in front of the threat of the war, the defence of the homeland has to pass first and as a priority.

I think it is a good auspicious day that the newly-elected parliamentarian members came to join the first session of the fourth mandate of the National Assembly under the royal presidency of His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni, the king of Cambodia, although the absent of the 3 newly-elected parliamentarians from Human Right Party owing to reportedly traffic jam .

May I take the opportunity to call on the newly-elected 123 parliamentarians to join hand together in beneficiary of the nation to work hard in order to develop our beloved nation as a strong economic in the region, not just only defeat their native rivals. Join hand to fight corruption, to reduce poverty, to create job opportunity, and bring happiness and prosperity to the kingdom. Please be ready and look forward to compete with other nations in the context of globalization.

Long live the kingdom of Cambodia! Long live the solidarity of the nation unity!!!

We're all really happy that it went smoothly. No chaos. Should have seen Phnom Penh today. Soldiers and police everywhere, carrying their AK-47. Most of the school closed. It's scary. We were all expecting the worst, but it went well. HOORAY!!!!

Unity is a way to bring this country out of darkness.

When Krom Preah changes his position, critique say he has no principles. He's an animal. But when Sam Rainsy changed his mind, everyone thinks this is just business as usual. Rainsy is a subtle Master Manipulator, but the international community won't be fooled by his claims of election frauds. Only his small dwinlin band of supporters would say the elections were rigged. At the end of the day, Sam Rainsy quietly crawled into the folds of the new national assembly, even asked for vice-president position and commision chairmanship. What a shame!!

This statement should be an example to HUN SEN.

I saw this article from Thai's news.

Surapong: I will take a brake
Caretaker Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Surapong Suebwonglee said on Thursday he would not accept any ministerial post in the Somchai government.

Surapong said he had notified the People Power Party (PPP) his intention.

"Since Samak (former prime minister Samak Sundaravej) stepped down and his Cabinet had to leave office as a result, I have no intention to carry on my work to set a norm. I inform my party at the meeting that I am not attached to my positions and I am not stubborn. I would like to take a brake and I request the party not to propose me to any political post temporarily,'' Surapong said.

He said his decision had nothing to do with the failure to be nominated as PM by Newin faction.

Surapong was among the three PPP leaders vied for PM, besides Somchai Wongsawat and Sompong Amornwiwat, both PPP deputy leaders.

Read this article, HUN SEN should do the same if he wants to live happily in peace. And no one is going to harm him. And for the better of the country.
