VietNamNet Bridge - Vietnam will continue its legislative cooperation with Laos and Cambodia, including exchange of experiences and mutual assistance in policy making and encouraging people to support commitments made by the countries.
The idea was shared by Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnamese National Assembly Tong Thi Phong with her guests, Deputy Prime Minister and MP of Cambodia Men Sam An, and Vice Chairman of the Lao NA’s Committee for Cultural and Social Affairs Pholsena Phonethep, during their meetings in Hanoi on Dec. 13.
The two foreign officials are leading delegations to attend the Asian Forum of Parliamentarians on Population and Development (AFPPD) which is held in Hanoi from Dec. 13-14.
Phong and her guests exchanged views on social affairs of common concern, such as gender equality, childcare and protection.
She appreciated the Cambodian and Lao delegations to the AFPPD and the role of Cambodian and Lao MPs in boosting the traditional relationship and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam , Laos and Cambodia .
The guests expressed thanks to the Vietnamese NA, Government and people for their wholehearted assistance to the national construction and development of both Laos and Cambodia.

i'm not so sure! in this day and age, if vietnam still want o steal cambodia, they will lose more than they can bite. i think it's just a friendly exchange of diplomats, not colonization! why, is cambodia really that dumb to let vietnam take over cambodia? yeah, right!!! in ancient times, perhaps, but in this modern world? i doubt that!

Yuon will not swallow Cambodia right the way.They will do it slowly presumably in the next 200 years .First,yuon established a puppet regime(the CPP).With this phase is done,yuon population stared their settlement in this new land.Yuon population will multiply at greater speed until they become majority.And when this phase is achieved ,yuon will be much stronger and naturally they will disregard khmer law and who know ,they may try to annex their new land to their motherland.By that time ,khmer kingdom will be on the brink of extinction .Bear in mind ,yuon started from nothing until they had what they have now.That how the state of Texas became part of the Unied States.No matter what ,khmer should not trust yuon.

Today, Vietnam's ambition to colonizing Cambodian and Laos are transparency and China is an obstacle for Hanoi; China, fiercely, challenging Vietnam in both economics and political in these satellite states. Vietnam is a thorn in China eyes for its influence in Southeast Asia. For thousand years the Vietnamese were dominance by the Chinese. Freedom came at a hefty price for the Viet from the grip of powerful neighbor. Today, fears and hate toward China remain constant in the mind of the Vietnamese.
China always considered Vietnam as a renegade state and must re-united with the motherland-like Taiwan. Cambodia can only be saved by China from falling to Hanoi's if CPP regime is over thrown and a new government is installed and aligning with China or the West.

Khmer need to protest for UN to enforces international laws, such as "1991 paris peace accord" and other law avialable out there.
Law only counts when enforced! No demand, no enforcement, no justice.

We can't predict the future of our country but we can learn from history.Here is the history.
Before, the state of Texas was part of Mexico,by the mid 1800,Mexican govt allowed all the settlers from U.S to settle on their land.A number of years (20 or 30 years)later,the settlers population surpassed the natives namely the Mexicans,then afterward it's history,the settlers refused to obey Mexican law and they revolted and finally Texas was incorporated into the UNION.
Now,Cambodia seem to repeat this historic event .By allowing yuon to settle freely in our land,and yuon by nature are expansionist ,the yuon population is no doubt will surpass the khmer's in the future , and with delicate calculation throught democracy philosophy where the majority rule then yuon will vote .And like the event in Canada,they may want to vote and separate or be independence and nobody can do a thing about that.By that time it's too late.Our survival as a race or as a sovereign nation is extinct.Yuon is like bamboo root ,they are complicated.They took over Champa and big chunk of the khmer empire .
You all can assume that i am a paranoia ,but mark my word,it will happen if khmer people did not do anything to protect our homeland survival then we will cease to exist as a nation .It's a scary assessment but it will happen.With yuon yeah.
All of you are correct about the possibility of Yuon slowly taking over Cambodia through settlement. It's not that hard to figure out. It's happened all over the world in history. There are 90 million Yuons in VN and they are settling freely in srok Khmer. They speak their languages and have a lot of political power. In about 30 to 40 years, there will be more Yuons than Khmers. You might say, can't the Yuons mix with Khmer and become Khmers just like the Chinese? Unlike the Yuons, the Chinese just want to succeed in business and make sure their children have a better future. They don't settle in Cambodia and mix with ethnic Khmer to take over our land. Most Khmers have Chinese blood and some of us have mostly Chinese blood, but we're all proud Khmers. The Yuons on the other hand are carrying out a plan to annex Cambodia to their motherland.
It’s hard to believe this Indochinese Federation scenario will ever exist. Although Cambodia and Lao seem to be under the Viet’s satellite during the 80s, Vietnam is not strong enough to bring the two countries to be formed under its own umbrella and control. Otherwise, it’d have happened during the 80s. Indochinese Federation is just an idea of individual judge irritation and false revelation. I believe that a nation’s administration and government know what they’re doing, they’re not idiots.
We hope and praise that the so called Indochina Federation will never materialized.And if it will ,let hope not, it's the yuon who will be in control.Just to think being under yuon domination will only make us sick and loose a will to live.Khmer will revolt for certain even if we have to pay a price for it.So it should not be a federation in the first place.Their culture and ours are so different.We,the khmer, just can not mixed with yuon no matter what.Their language alone will surely annoyed us to the full.We just don't like their smell,their dogs,their cats,their fish,their look etc.... We just want to be khmer and that's it.

I kind of agree with 5:19 AM. It will never exist for the Yuons to succeed their dreams and its’ principle since they only can fight short war. They’re unlike the USA that can fund the war for longer term.
Dear brothers and sisters in this forum,all the comments are constructive comments,youn will swallow us slowly like Champa and Kampuchea Krom.youn has sent the secret agents to Cambodia since 1949 when French cut off Cambodia rich peninsula to vietnam.These secret agents divided in numerous groups,some sneak in the city working closely with stupid king and stupid top rank Khmer government,for sure they created chaos among Khmer leaders,some groups live along the border inside Cambodia as a normal citizen for so long,they taught their children to speak Khmer in public but youn mother language at home .These group along the border have one commitment is to break up and to make farmers dislike the Phnom Penhist.
According to the witness from phoum Tani,Touk Meas,province of Kampot,these secret groups they didn't contact directly each others in Cambodia,they exchanged the tactics and follow the plan from hanoi.
Those secret agents are the one who created chaos in Phnom Penh in 1970 to 1975 that lead the universities students,teacher,professors and many more misunderstood held a brutal deadly demonstration against the republic regime of Lon Nol.
17th April 1975,when the Khmer rouge captured Phnom Penh city,I notice that there were two factions that entered in the city because I noticed by their group uniforms ( one group black uniform and another group with kaki uniform).
One group of these two are vietcong's soldiers and this group is the one who committed the genocide in Pol pot regime which supported by China.
1979 Jan.16th while I escaping from Chahoury-Kok malor,Pusat province,I witnessed that these two groups brutally killed each other and I witnessed that one of these group provide food and secretly hand in geography and logistic map to vietcong.It made me very wonder that in Pol Pot's house there are a lot of viet's secret agents.
Now vietnam'secret agents still survive since and live freely
work freely kill freely in again under the cpp vietnam government in Cambodia.
As we all Khmer very frustrated with these hyenas, what can we do and what can we sacrifice for our native land?.We can't wait for some body to help we all inside and outside far or near have to sacrifice ourself first before we ask for help,China is one of the most trusted friend to Cambodia for a long time,can we depend on china?
I hope pm Hun Sen and all the Khmer leaders study about vietcong one more time and for the last time before too late to extinction of Khmer nation in the near future.
vietnam is waching China very closely when and how they approach Cambodia,when China busy with some things,it's the time that vietnam make one step forward into foundation of its policy.
By law vietnam has no chance to eliminate Cambodia from the world map but by consuming of times and its dirty tactics and with carelessness lazy of Cambodian
leaders,vietnam eventually could smash Cambodia like Champa and Kampuchea Krom.
Now vietnam have controled most of gov.ministries even in the National Assembly.From times to times the Assembly have passed the law to protect vietnamese safety indirectly such as busted legally from Khmer people not to own weapons and recently its passed the law that foreigners can have land ownership.
vietnam is very dangerous to Cambodian children and grandchildren in the future I hope and pray that Pm Hun Sen and all real Khmer leaders study more about vietnam before too late.
Vietnam tried harder and harder to push its cooperation to the end. I think if they would have done that from a long time ago, they would be very successfull. But not at this time, Cambodia now is aware of what Vietnam wants to do to rule or control Cambodia, that is why Cambodia run to get helps from China. It is good now have Chinese around. Although, my grandparent were from China, I am truely Khmer, born in Cambodia, and few member of my family served as soldier to protect Cambodia. I am proud to be Khmer, speak Khmer. Destroy Vietnamese plan so Khmer can be safe.
