A message from MP Mu Sochua

From: Mu Sochua
Subject: RE: Parliamentray Immunity

I am forever grateful for the immense support I have received from all of you who are committed to justice.

My case is just one small case among many hundreds and thousands of cases that are part of a justice system that punishes the innocent.

I ask you all to focus on the injustice for our people and not just my case.
,
The solution is very clear: re-establish a justice system that protects all citizens and not the powerful. A truely independent justice system is a system that gives access to all citizens, a fair due process, competent and impartial judges, and accountable to the people.

The Sam Rainsy Party does not just want to point out the weaknesses of our system, we want to give solutions to the system and we have those solutions and are committed to install justice for all.

The suffering of our people because of the corrupt judiciary is what we need to focus on and SRP is intended to do just that rather than focusing on Mu SOchua's case. The poor sell their land and even their children in order to pay to visit their relatives who are detained. Families are destroyed, even if they are innocent as bribes must be paid to get out of detention and to escape wrong sentencing. The entire country is affected by this total break down of the judiciary.

No matter how we analyze the existing laws, we will come to a dead end unless we clean up the system.

That starts with a political will.

I will follow the court process with the intention of bringing to light where justice stands in Cambodia.

Best regards to all,
Mu Sochua, MP

HUN SEN acted and done the same as SADDAM HUSSEIN and he later failed and gone to hell.

If HUN SEN above law he will not have place to live.

Justice will prevail!!!!

Maybe, I was wrong when I stated that there is NO officials work for the benefit for the Country and the Citizens.

"The basis of our political systems is the right of the people to make and to alter their Constitutions of Government. But the Constitiution which at any time exists, 'till changed by an explicit and authentic act of the whole People is sacredly obligatory upon all." --GW, 1796.

Has Khmer Citizens the government of the Cambodia practice due process and fairness and of rights of man?

Thank you, Mrs. Mu.

i can see mrs mu sochua's point. i think she has a good perspective. as khmer, we must struggle and demand a good justice system to be installed permanently in cambodia as khmer people had suffered long enough already the injustice. there's seemed to be a double standard when it comes to the justice system in cambodia. i don't think it just begin during this recent time; in fact, it was abusive in term of impunity, immunity and so on since from the olden time, perhaps going back as far as the dark ages after the end of the great khmer angkor civilization. if we, khmer people from all walks of life don't demand the use of rule of law and reform the justice system so it can be different from what it was before, then khmer people won't have any injustice. now that said, i think it will take everyone's effort and everyone's action as in proactive to make a difference. we cannot afford to sit around and wait any longer for this to happen because if we have this attitude of waiting for someone else to take action to make the difference, then nothing is being done or worst, our cambodia's justice system will stay the same. we are in a new era of cambodia development, we must strive to educate ourselves and don't be afraid to ask for help from authority and international diplomatic community out there. cambodia cannot do this alone, we all have to ask for help so our children and country in the future can have justice, the rule of law and good society and so on. thank you, mrs mu sochua for your encouragement and good vision. may god bless you, your family and cambodia.

a khmer person.

the new cambodia should look into promote equal opportunity system in education, job, etc for all khmer people in this new era. we should focus on people's qualification based on their education, instead of nepotism, favoritism, corruption, fraterniztion, etc... take the USA, for example, people there are judged on education level, not nepotism, favoritism, fraternization, etc... cambodia should stress the important of education like a college degree. this is how we can overcome abuse, injustice, ingorance and so on because when we understand the system and received good education, we will understand right from wrong. we should learn from everyone out there, regardless of who they are; we all can learn from everyone, really. if we travel the world and see for ourselves, we will realize how small and lacking cambodia, our country was/is. we must continue to make a difference so our people and children can have a bright future, and cambodia will be an attractive, beautiful country for all to enjoy. god bless cambodia.

sometimes, people can misunderstand you until you reveal or make yourself understood. this is perhaps a common problem in cambodia's society. this is why being open helps a lot, especially if you are a public official, public figure, etc... talking about it will shade lights, especially if you want people to like you, to understand you or even to vote for you. we should encourage everyone to think outside of the box sometimes, especially in this day and age where most of the world is dealing with each other internationally or globally. we all interdependent on one another, believe it or not. this is really a small world out there; we must strive to take care of our planet as we all share the same planet, after all. god bless.

One day within the inner circle of HUN SEN also want to see HUN SEN gone. This is clearly happened in Pakistan too with Mr. Pervez Musharraf. He thought he can control the control forever even the lawyers inside his party seek to stand for people who seek justice too.

HUN SEN will have to enforce the law.
He is not above law. He could be stripped and jailed too.

exactly and absolutely, my dear; this is how we all would like cambodia to become in this day and age, the use of the rule of law see no color for everyone has to live by the law; this is where justice exist, really! god bless all.

Hun sen day for getting hung will come soon Like saddam hussien. For he only serves his master hanoi and not his khmer people. May all the evil and the evil behind evil get its own justice. For those who play with a sword will get cut by its own sword.

Congradulation to all who know what right and wrong and stood up against wrong. Pol pot was wrong, Hun sen also wrong. Two wrongs can never make a right.

We have a lot of qualify person to run the country but HUN SEN failed to let them take part of the country and put only those disqualify to run the show. How else our country can be prosperous?

We must put our intellectual and newly graduates to work for the country.

We must rise up and kick HUN SEN out of office.

He is very disgraceful.

Thanks to you for bringing out the injustice in country so that the whole world could see of our injustice system from the level of government and how it operates.

The laws are there but in reality it's only for the powerful, it is rather gangster style, average Cambodia are being left in the cold for justice.

Justice is long over due for Cambodians in many ways from once upon the time to current government. Still nothing has changed. If this kind of practice allowed to continue, Cambodians will forever changed in minds and souls. Our people will be the people of ruthless and ignorant and so do our culture because of it has embeded in minds...

Congratulation Madam Sochua. Your case is not personal case. Uncountable Cambodians are facing with injustice judiciary system in Cambodia.

Through your case, we have to find solution for our future. The solution will not damage CPP but help CPP to wake up from the hell. The solution to create just system will become the collective achievement for all Cambodians.

I am backing you 1000%

Mae Doek Nom used be female in ancient Khmer.

Make no different to me, Musochua or Rengsy or Hunsen. they are all shitty. When those on in power always making noise get support after power grabbed the real shit start to show.

It is not too late yet, be a better person, say "...inappropriate crap was said, but I did not mean to personally demean or belittle any Khmer women, including madame Mu. I am responsible for the misunderstood statement and apologize if it was taken out of context to mean an insult to anyone!"

I think that was not hard to say, but it will make one look like an educated, sophisticate individual - a statesman/leader.

I am sick to see the above comment. Hopefully, he/she will not post the same thing again again any more.... thank you for his/her understanding.

to mu,
if you win, i have somcommon you should create new law, every body have equal right to be a country leader. if they have the abillity to. take united states as rule, 8 year is enoeught to be a president of combodia, if more thank that they start to be Hun Sen, and king ancestor, do not let that happen, if you win the lottery take it don't do like Sam rainsy give his power to ranarith he do bushit to th country. you try so head to be this part take it and rule the cambodia, and make a new law like i suggest above.
