A senior official at the Ministry of Justice was arrested Wednesday for allegedly falsifying documents in an attempt to secure the release of a Russian tycoon accused of child sex crimes.
Police and ministry officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said Prum Piseth, head of administration at the Ministry of Justice, was arrested following the complaint of Lt. Gen. Hing Bun Heang, chief of Hun Sen’s bodyguards.
Prum Piseth allegedly forged Hun Sen’s signature on documents that ordered the release Alexander Trofimov, the high-profile defendant in the midst of a pedophile case.
The arrest comes just days after the US State Department censured Cambodia’s efforts to curb human trafficking, including for child sex exploitation and impunity of public officials involved in the practice.
Trofimov is one of the highest-profile arrests for pedophilia in recent years. He was granted a permit to develop the entire island of Koh Puos into a luxury resort, prior to his arrest for alleged sexual acts with underage girls.
Prum Piseth also faces a complaint from a woman who claims he cheated her out of $240,000, the officials said.
One justice official who could not reveal details in the case directed questions to Brig. Gen. Muong Khim, who he said led the arrest operation.
Muong Khim denied arresting Prum Piseth.

Hey KI, you care to name the corrupted official but you just failed time and time again to name those that arrest the corrupted officials. Your story of corrupted Hun Sen government is a little contradictory, isn't it? Who arrests those corrupted officials? Americans, British, or Hun Sen's police? If Hun Sen's police arrest those officials, why do they have to do that if they are all corrupted? Right?
Here is a hole in the story that you like to omit because it contradicts your view. Not everyone is corrupted. Your generalization has no place in this world with people that use their heads instead of pursuing one's own agenda willingly ignorant and disregard of reality.
There are corrupted officials in Hun Sen's government but those are individuals. If you label the whole government as corrupted, you are a true definition of IGNORANT. Maybe, stop learning too much of that Western wonderful concept of generalization, college-educated.
If majority of the people generalize like you, they can call all of you who live in America as murderers with good reasons. Those American contractors in Iraq, Black Water, were killing innocent Iraqis so you Americans are all fucking murderers. You kill innocent people. Fuck you!
Now, how does that feel if someone said that about you? You would definitely get defensive and try to respond that just because you're American, it doesn't mean you're like those guys. Maybe, you should have think of that in regard to other people that you ignorantly label.

You are right. People must learn how to differentiate between Hun Sen government and the Cambodian Government.
In all democratic countries where the government is being creted by a general election system, we must differentiate the group of people working for the government who are belonging to a political party and the public servants who are people have worked for public office through their education and their legal recruitment for their public service.
1-All Ministers and appointed individuals are of Hun Sen Government.
2-All public servants such as police, military officials, health officials, all public officials, school teachers etc.. and etc.. they are government officials.
This second group will be always government officials regardless what party is the Government of Cambodia.

You won't find any of this sort of information like the link above on site like this. Like, I said, their goal is to attack the Hun Sen's government. Therefore, they omit any good things from Cambodia as they see it doesn't serve their purpose and goal to make Cambodia look bad under Hun Sen's rule.
That is not a patriotic cause. It is a selfish politically motivated agenda. That is not putting your country first. That is putting their own asses before anything else.

Yea only because he has no other option but to do so. If there were other option to divert the attention of the general American population from the economic crisis, Obama like other presidents would keep it as secret as long as he can.
Why is that the US has so much media and entertainment? It is to keep the population occupied while they are doing their greedy deeds. Let me ask you this. Have you been to any other part of the world? France for example? Maybe you live there. Let me tell you in Paris, the criminals do their drug deals right infront of the police station without any fear because the police gets a cut of that profit, buddy. Another is the Preah Vihear issue itself. Khmer has all the legal documents in the claim of what is ours but yet the international court or community won't step in. Why? Because Khmer doesn't have so much money or benefits to them as Thailand. Isn't that a classic definition of corruption? That is not just any local small 20 dollars corruption but an epic international corruption and misconduct right there.
Maybe when you grow up and get out to see how the real world operates, you'll see that the problem you see in Cambodian isn't so exclusive to Cambodians at all. Yea, it'll be a shock. Especially, get into a business world, anywhere, US, Asia, European, etc... you'll see how honest and genuine those good citizen CEO's are.
