these are very nice comments. This kind of cool approach will eventually win the public support, especially from the intellectuals. Hit the points with cool words...

That man is the man with the golden hearts for Cambodian farmers. The people in my family back in Camboda were farmers for many generations, and I understand their plight, namely skyrocketting DEBT and unimproved endless cycle of poverty. I am glad to hear Lok Sam Rainsy addressing and bringing up those points. I don't know what will happen to his proposal because Hun Sen government always talk down Lok Sam Rainsy's ideas.

Sorry I thought there is no freedom of expression in Cambodia? How could Sam Rainsy get to speak so eloquently if he is so oppressed? Strange!

it's called exageration, sometimes! anyway, good to see all lawmakers are starting to wake up and work cooperatively together. it's a good sign that people can change for the better, you know. election time is different, however, after election is over and done with, all khmers should unite and work together just like they are doing the USA. god bless cambodia.

Now why can't Sam Rainsy and his people be like that all the time? This is how the opposition should. Making constructive input toward developing the country, not playing dirty finger pointing game.

I hope this is the change of strategy Sam Rainsy talked about. I'm a CPP lean but the way Sam Rainsy presents himself makes me want to listen to what he has to say now. I hope Sam Rainsy pursuits this kind of approach in making a difference and not the old way of parading around the streets screaming out loud accusing people left and right.

There are two kinds of politics, dirty and clean.

I hope Khmer politicians from all party pursuit the clean route and stop attacking each other but instead work together.

Being an opposition party doesn't mean your job is to oppose the government. Your job is to provide constructive critique and suggestion for improvement. I want to see more of this.

Khmer need to stick together rather than push each other off.

Dear Sir/Madam,

I fully agree with 10:07AM for this comment. We must be united against the enemy who wants to undermine our development.

We need a real solidarity which can lead us to a good point for the reconstruction of our homeland.

Thank you for your kind understanding,

Ly

Hahaha. Like Ah Hun Sen will ever listen to Sam Rainsy Hahah. Ah Hun Sen has a lowlife Khmer mentality, that is he depends on Ah YOUNs. Sam Rainsy made clear to be careful about letting the well-protected well-informend, well-supported foreigners taking over defenseless underinformed Khmer farmers. This is not the first time that Sam Rainsy had to make speeches for the assembly sessions. However, none of his ideas was ever put into effect. Ah Hun Sen made it clear that he wants to outdo Sam Rainsy in everything. Sam Rainsy is polite and well-mannered. Ah Hun Sen is a crude gangster. For example, he called a provincial governor "Ah" and Elder Prach Chhoun as "Eng". Ah Hun Sen is a gangster who wants to destroy Phnom Penh in just two hours. About "no freedom of expression", never has the ruling party of the United States sue the defeated members of other political party for their outspokenness. However, ah Hun Sen sues every one. For example, the border demarcation between ah YOUNs and Khmer, ah Hun Sen still this day has never reveals the truth to Cambodians at all. However, he constanstly shows the border of Preah Vihear with Thailand. So why does he have to hide stuff from the Khmer with ah YOUNs. Ah Hun Sen crudely attack the members of the opposition party, and Ah Hun Sen still walks free. Ah Hun Sen's family members committed serious crimes, and they still walk free. Who would have ever heard of their own leader wanting to use military to destroy their own people and capital. Thailand should put ah Hun Sen to the test. I think Thailand should test ah Hun Sen and see how tough ah Hun Sen really is.

I agree with 11:47. Ho Vann is now sued becaue he question the qualify of certificates granted by a Vietnamese war college". Why do they have to sue? Western reporters wrote about the low-quality of Hun Sen certificates as well, but how come he did not dare sue those reporters? For example, Vietnamese authorities said that they granted the PHD diploma to Hun Sen. Hun Sen also got a PhD from this unaccredited University from the United States.

Apparently, we still have Khmer hate Khmer in here. Hun Sen or Sam Rainsy, all Khmer. But look at you two above. Speaking so high and mighty youn this and youn that. You think that makes you better than Hun Sen or anyone for that matter? Sad indeed.

I am happy that you guys show your comments and suggestion. I do agree with a guy to sugguest Khmer should be united. Yes, we have to be united in order to develop our country. However, I do hope that Mr.Rainsy will not be united with Hun and change his political platform to support Youn's government as Hun Sen's doing right not. We are khmer. We must love each other. However, i will not love Hun Sen whose body is Khmer and his head and brain is Youn... Truly, I never hat any guy as much as I hat Hun Sen. Talking about Preah Vihea... The way Hun Sen is doing is not good man. We have international organization. Go their and ask for supports.

It’s call smart politics. The moment SRP stops blaming CPP and start providing constructive/workable ideas to improve people life, SRP will have a better to chance to attract more popular support. When SRP outlines realistic measures and make workable recommendations to fight poverty, Hun Sen will have no choice but to positively act on some of those recommendations, although he won’t public admit he got the idea from SRP. The good thing about this is that Hun Sen will be more forthcoming and obliged to improve his governance so that the population will not switch their support to SRP. He got to show people that his party is better than SRP.

This is a step in the right the direction for you SRP. Best of luck to you. The people are watching!

negative attitude is probably come from frustration or impatient. well, there's nothing anybody can do about this as that is a personal thing. i think what is more important is the national interest and not so much of trivial personal stuff. of course, everybody has personal probably, but the different is they leave at separate and then if they are smart they would seek professional intervention. anyway, leave personal problem separate from other stately matter! don't try to be stupid like siem thugs because they always use emotion over pragmaticism! plus, siem thugs are also a bunch of drama queens, so that explains it! god bless cambodia.
