EVIDENCE OF BORDER ENCROACHMENT TO BE EXPOSED ON SRP WEB SITE AND DURING RADIO CALL-IN SHOW

On Monday, January 25, two days before his sham trial in Svay Rieng province, opposition leader Sam Rainsy will expose in detail evidence of border encroachments during a radio call-in show (Candle Light program on FM 93.5 MHz, from 18:00 to 19:00).

The evidence consisting of official French-drawn (1952 1/100,000) and American-drawn (1966 1/50,000) maps and most recent satellite pictures with precise geographic coordinates and GPS data, definitely proves that the alleged border stake Sam Rainsy uprooted on October 25 in Svay Rieng province was irrefutably in Cambodia’s territory.

Moreover, using the same scientific techniques, Sam Rainsy – who has been assisted by map engineers, historians and geographers from several countries over the last three months – will prove from Paris that all the “border markers” nearby the one (# 185) he uprooted, are well within Cambodia’s legal borders.

This might explain why, following the October 25 incident, Vietnamese authorities have removed and taken back to Vietnam those alleged border markers (# 184, 186 and 187).

All the evidence, including satellite pictures, GPS data, detailed maps and most recent photos of the alleged border markers or what remains of them, will be posted on SRP Web site www.samrainsyparty.org

On behalf of the Cambodian people the SRP will call on all friendly countries and relevant international organizations to examine the above evidence and to see the bad faith and/or incompetence of the current Phnom Penh government.

On January 27, will people be watching Sam Rainsy’s “trial” or that of border encroachers caught red handed along with their weak and complacent Cambodian accomplices?

Does the “trial” concern Sam Rainsy alone or does it actually concern the whole Cambodian people since Cambodia’s territory belongs to all Cambodians. Aren’t we talking about, and dealing with, a national issue, which is Cambodia’s territorial integrity?

Since it involves a border issue between two countries, the “trial” will logically be an international one. Is the Svay Rieng provincial court competent to adjudicate on an international issue?

These are concrete evidences indeed. The Vietnamese government will have to answer to the UN body. It's a great Leap for Cambodians, and it's the First time ever that I hear there a Khmer nationalist gone through this much trouble to Defend the people of Cambodia.

Has the ruling party stopped being subservient to the HCM?

Dog Hun Sen is insulting Cambodians.
He is alone in the next election and se said he will accept if he loses.
Hun Sen considers Khmers like monkeys by saying that.
But, any Khmer knows that this man came from jungle, uneducated.
Once, he had a real race against Ranarith, he lost.
That is coward

In theory yuons own Cambodia but in practice, it is a bit difficult for yuons to impose its rules in some spaces. yuons can cut woods, empty fishes from tule sap, or exploit the rest of Khmer resources but while it happens of land and population, youns need to wait until yuons had to kill the last Khmers.

Lok srei kim thy oy one said in her book, yuons were so angry and upset with Khmer rouge while yuons learned that Khmer rouge didn’t have killed Khmer people after yuons’s plan. Yuons expected khmer rouge to kill more Khmers than that.

A yuon from Canada said, “Khmer, even have been killed millions but they can quick make more children to populate land … “, the phrase was along with few pictures of poor dirty Khmer children. It is a very sinister way for this yuon to little more these poor children to feed its ill needs.

Puppets will always try to please their boss, just like dogs wagging their tails to their masters, in a gesture to beg for bones to lick. Puppet have no patriotism and they never understant what it means either. As folks have seen: When Khmer citizens ling along the border are robbed of their land and some Khmer nationalists try to help them, the puppets punish Khmer citizen and Khme nationalists. These puppet never care a damn if Khmer citizens lose their land to ah Yuons. What they care the most is to keep themselves staying in power so they and their families can be happy, living by sucking Khmer citizens' blood to satisfy themselves.

When you take 20 years to lean two english words, listen to others, they may be right.
If you come from jungle, uneducated listen to others.

this should not be spinned as a khmer v. yuon political or racial issue, but it should be treated as a legal sovereigty, good neighbors, respecting international laws issue. leaders and intellects from both countries should use legal process to resolve this border problem.

it is ridiculous to charge someone as a criminal case for pulling out unmarked wooden stakes from muddy rice paddy. if the stakes had official marks and indication that they are of international standards of border markers, then may be a charge of pulling official or state property should be considred - proividing that the government can prove that those wooden stakes were officially approved by both nations through official border demarcation process that should be transparent to the people of both nations.

Like I have said, the truth will reveal...and evedence starts to appear... and we're almost there. Thanks to His Excellency Sam Rainsy, you have done great to our country. You are a true Khmer here.

This have proved that Ah Hun Sen doesn't know a damn thing about our border. He barks whatever Ah Var Kimhong (Yuon) and Ah Youn master said. On the other hand, it proves that Sam Rainsy is a very educated person, talent, brave, courage and has loyalty to his own people and country.

If Ah Chhke Hun Sen really loves his country and people, HE SHOULD GIVE UP HIS POWER AND TRANSFER all power TO SAM RAINSY AND WALK AWAY PEACEFULLY. I am sure Sam Rainsy will get all our land back and divert millions and millions of hecta of land concession to Ah Chhor Yuon for robber plantation.

We are all behind SAM RAINSY!
God bless Sam Rainsy. Death to Ah Chhke Hun Sen and Ah Chhor Yuon Hanoi.

Mr. Sam Rainsy still can save Cambodia culture and territorial integrity from Vietnam invasion if Hun Sen lets him does his jobs. If I were Hun Sen, I will fade myself aways from all kind of troubles and live my life peacefully. Hun Sen has had millions of dollars already in bank account and why would wanted to be like former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussain. If he afraid to live in Cambodia, then move to an other country of his choices just like Thaksin. Enjoy your life and your money man since you know that you can't rule forever.

shtup all the monarchy. they can't do any shit about the country. did you guys read the letter sent by Thor Me-Ko to Sam Rainsy the other day? It was specifically about saving the monarchy and monarchy institutions NOT THE KHMER PEOPLE AND THE INTEREST OF THE NATION.

I say when all said and done, Khmer people should shtup them.

Thank you Mr. Sam Rainsy.

Now that you're already on it, please don't just look at the Svay Reang border post, but please expose the whole border demarcation in the East and let all territorial treaties with Vietnam since 1985 as illegal incursion by Vietnam.

A friendly reminder to Mr.SAM RAINSY,

Please don't return home just yet. You're more effective to defend our homeland from abroad.

Never ever again to get counsel from either CHOMKUOT SIHANOUK or his son ,both of them are USELESS.Bear in mind,SIHANOUK was the one who sold khmer to VIETCONG and for you to get him to go against VIETCONG is like asking him to divorce his wife .He'll never do that. The time will come when khmer people are sick and tired of this stupid institution and will kick it out once more time and may be for good.

CPP will never rule forever. It will come to an end one way or another. And it will.

Anonymous said...

I will always stick with my SRP. Without the SRP, there will no more Cambodia because it will continue to shrink at an inimginable rate. SRP is the only Cambodia's lifeline there is. CPP is already the YOUN's established dirty bloodline that will never say no to the YOUN demand. It is time to EXPOSE the dirty coverups of the CPP. Have you noticed lately that Cambodians start to view the army of Cambodia as simply of Hun Sen who works hard for the benefits of the YOUNs. Hun Sen's arm forces are not of Cambodia but of Hun Sen and of Hanoi.

I am agreed with Mr.9:30AM all my hearted ,when I was in high school (TOUL SVAY PREY) I was in history class my professor told us (Viet nam had done some thing familiars with the khmer in this article to chase the CHARMS (Champa people ) out of the country the youn not hesitated to pour the pork grease on to the ponds, pools ,streams,Greeks or lakes so to stop the Charm or to chase the Charm out from their home land then The Vietnam get the free land with out a single bleeding the Charms . In Cambodia they use the growing bamboo plants systems to kick Cambodian people out so they can get the free space for them, the growing bamboo spread out to destroy all the plants surrounding them none of them can survive (check them out where the bamboo grow) At night time they uses the vulgar noises ,or steal here and there and prostitutions ,as the mayor Cambodian people like to live their lives in peaceful, generosity, charity understanding, practitioner of the dharma and devoting to the Buddha Laws ,start to move out because they can't stand with the criminal breeds (Viet Nam ) so the Vietnam always get win win situations for free space (Bamboo formula youn keep it as their advices every youn home . Dear Somransy party this Cambodian minority place (sesan River location ) the place that you can build up the cases against CCP(Devil)Also win on khmer heart . Hanoi’s Hegemony:

What all this appears to demonstrate is how weary Hanoi can be of coherently, intelligibly applied pressure. It is said that nothing is certain in life, with the exception of taxes and death.

The Vietnamese intelligentsia has had to live with the knowledge that for over half of Vietnam’s recorded history, their people had been kept under foreign yoke and held in bondage. This collective experience of humiliation has over the centuries inculcated in the Vietnamese a fierce resentment of foreign rule, coupled with an equally relentless determination as well as singularity of will, required of a people constantly conscious of having one battle after another to fight. Hence, the name given to this nation: ‘Vietnam’, which literally means ‘Overpass’. The Red River Delta where the capital of Hanoi today locates could historically be considered the first place of major settlement and refuge of the Vietnamese people, having been displaced from their earlier bases in the Chinese mainland. In this respect, the Vietnamese have much in common with the Siamese; the latter fled both Chinese oppression and Mongol invasion, while the former opted to resist that invasion with the skills honed in the course of their long military struggle against Chinese rule. Times have passed, but little has changed in Vietnamese mindset or organic cohesion, nurtured by this experience of perpetual conflict, framed furthermore, morally, philosophically by adopted Chinese ideals of discipline, reverence towards authority, hierarchy and loyalty to the State, as outlined in Confucian thought.

As befits a people living in constant alert and insecurity, intellectual activities blossomed, especially in population centres like Hanoi where leading Vietnamese activists of more recent time such as Ho Chi Minh, Vo Nguyen Giap, Pham Van Dong, Le Duc Tho among others, would have passed through in their formative years. Although, territorial expansion is not the focus of this sketch, it is easy to see why the Vietnamese nation, as with the Siamese, are constantly on the move, and why Communism as a model of how society is organised and arranged is better suited to the Vietnamese than it is to the Buddhist Khmers or Laotians, and also how the Vietnamese managed to see off repeated attempts by Western powers to keep them under their subjugation in the twentieth century. It also explains why the Khmer intelligentsia (educated classes), along with Khmer arts, culture and historical memory had been the subject of frenzied purges under DK, paving the way for the next phase of Vietnamese domination and exploitation, while the country is sub-ruled by ignoramuses and philistines. Whether Pol Pot, Ieng Sary, Khiev Samphan, Noun Chea bear direct historical responsibility for these crimes, may not be of great relevance, once one understands and accepts how and whence the first recruitment and indoctrination began; how the Vietnamese cynically emphasised to their Cambodian protégés the fervour of class conflict and the social ills of the Old Regime as the main springboard for their revolutionary struggle and sacrifice, all of which had been put in motion even before these young, naiive, French educated Khmers had returned to their homeland.

Hanoi’s Hegemony – (Cont.)

Accepting Hanoi’s hegemony is not something inevitable, however, and 30 years of living and breathing with the permission of someone else is perhaps, too long for a nation with Cambodia’s proud heritage and genius. The Vietnamese themselves are aware of the difference between resisting foreign domination and imposing one unto others, so it is hardly surprising that while instances of high level official corruption could mean a death penalty in Vietnam, their Cambodian counterparts have been encouraged to embrace it as a part of social patronage system which has the intended effect of sweetening up the Khmer social-political elite by cushioning them from want and discontent. Living in general comfort and luxury, their lives are far removed from those of their downtrodden compatriots, while their vision and worldview are accordingly distorted and cocooned by this privileged, exclusive, if vulgar, lifestyle.

I agree with the view that this struggle is not against the Vietnamese people per se, but rather a moral crusade waged against injustice and social, political oppression thus far presented in the cloak of solidarity and fraternity of the 3 peoples of Indochina. Whatever their differences, all three nations have more to gain than they have to lose under genuine democratic processes; and throwing off the yoke of their respective ruler will be the first meaningful step towards attaining genuine individual liberty and national self-determination.

For Khmer nationalists, the key lies in applying concrete pressure on Hanoi even if this means taking calculated risks and brinkmanship, for the latter will only react to force, not persuasion.

do not count on the king to step in to help Sam Rainsy. them Royals don't even know what ecosystem is, let alone help Rainsy with the border issue. them royals are too busy with dancing, singing, and chasing after pretty women. Till this day, the curse of karma has followed king sihanouk as a result of the bad deeds he has done. the support for khmer royals has dramatically declined since the mid-1990s as khmer people see no way out for their future. More and more people are getting evicted, resulting in their living in slums with no healcare services and deepening the cycle of poverty. Life expectancy continues to fall while death rate rises due fo lack of food and healthcare. Does anyone see khmer royals take on these issues? the answer is "No."

When hatred to Hun Sen and CPP is your life goal you cannot have any vision. This is why Cambodia's opposition under Xam RainXy is going nowhere, if not down the drain, through the uprooting event along border post No. 185, insulting to anyone who supports the CPP, create chaos in society, big liar... and runs really fast to overseas. "Xam RainXy has had only two ways in dealing with his political career: come back to Cambodia to face the trial on 27 January 2010. Don't just made a mess and runs fast like that, or unshamefully write a letter to apologise to PM Hun Sen... There is no example in the whole world of any country being a democratic and prosperous one with the same leader of opposition for decades,"
