False Claim of Defection from SRP-North America

Subject: False Claim of Defection from SRP-North America

Dear Compatriots,

Prior to providing you further on the false claim of SRP-defection in North America, I would like to draw your attention to this new blitz of the CPP’s political propaganda.

The CPP is in over-drive campaign mode to try to gain back its eroding supports due to economic hardship and mistrust among the Khmer majority. Lately, measures have been taken by the government to require banning certain Google map and search engines sites in order to contain further revealing evidences of land lost due to border encroachment activities from the East. The recent shape of a new drawing map by Thompson Reuters of Cambodia has firmly validated the need to have an independent or bi-partisan commission on this very hot issue. The GPS mapping satellite has caught the CPP off guard through indisputable evidences indicative to areas of land lost to Vietnam along the eastern frontier – something the CPP was not realized at the outset of the Svay Rieng case.

Now on this false claim of defection, particularly when we are dealing with members in North America, I can’t imagine anyone or any right-minded person, not alone an officer of my executive team would go out there and claim to be defected. For any individual who claimed to be SRP-NA and defected to the CPP, publicly as it might serve the interests and a much needed publicity of the CPP, then one should ask this question: Is that person is politically credible? Here is the fact, those pretended defectors were not on our SRP-NA membership lists, or have been actively engaging in SRP-NA local or national activities. What were they expected to gain from proclaiming to be a defector? Personally, I would have been so shy and shameful to claim as defector when I am not even qualified to be as such, do not politicize your joining when you act more out of your own greed than conscience. The committed SRP-NAs will remain at work and be truthful to their own national existence and identity, no matter how the numbers might look like today, tomorrow or the day after tomorrow.
