For not showing up to clarify the court as summoned in April in the lawsuit case regarding disinformation and falsifying public document, opposition leader Sam Rainsy now faces an arrest warrant issued against him.
The Phnom Penh municipal court issued this warrant to Sam Rainsy on Tuesday after he did not show up in court in April, however, the latter now lives overseas.
Nevertheless, Chuong Chou-ngy, Sam Rainsy’s defense lawyer, told reporters that he went to court instead of Sam Rainsy already on 20 April.
However, Ky Tech, the government lawyer, claimed that Sam Rainsy is involved in a criminal case, therefore his lawyer cannot show up in court for the suspect or the accused.
Yim Sovann, SRP spokesman, indicated that the court arrest warrant is meaningless in the lawsuit case brought up against Sam Rainsy. “I don’t pay attention about this court, this is a political hearing, therefore a political solution is needed,” Yim Sovann said.
Currently, opposition leader Sam Rainsy and Mr. Sean Pengse, a border expert under the Khmer Republic regime, are conducting their campaign in the US in order to explain to the Cambodian people, as well as the international community, about the border situation in Cambodia which is under encroachments from neighboring countries while the Cambodian government is turning a blind eye to this situation.

Sam Rainsy life is to face all kind of court.
People are suffering every days and losing there belonging under this dictators.
Mr. Peng Se and Sam Rainsy cannot go back to Cambodia or have any authority to solve Cambodian border issue. What he is doing is to use this border issue to raise hatred and anger toward Phnom Penh regime and to raise money so that he can use it to live comfortably abroad.
It is interesting to hear that law makers in Cambodia such as Sam Rainsy or Yim Sovann do not honor the law and the court of Cambodia.
Any citizen in the country have to abide by the law of that country, whether you agree with it or not.
That is the reason why the government have legislative, executive, and the court. If everyone say I ignore the law, ignore the court, then what kind of country is that!, it would be lawless chaotic country.
Evidently and historically speaking, SanRainsy will polisickally not be won against SenVarman, if he still submissively continuing as a frightful turttle, not bravely as Sochau.

It is about time that Dr.Hun Sen starting working with Mr.Sam Rainsy for the good of Cambodian people on the Cambodian-Vietnamese border issue! For how long Dr.Hun Sen continue to hide the Vietcong naked aggression on Cambodian sovereignty? If Dr. Hun Sen think that by using his court to silent Sam Rainsy or majority of Cambodian people and it would be a big mistake and it will never going to work! Tell me how many times did Dr. Hun Sen use his government court to silent Sam Rainsy even Cambodian people? I will tell you that Dr. Hun Sen used his court many, many, and many times before and now nobody care any more or even afraid of his government court!
It is quite shameful to abuse the justice system to against weak citizens. If you are a tough man, you must not be above the law which you have created and let the law alone be independent.

Sam Rainsy is a coward afraid to go to jail in Cambodia. Look at Kem Sokha he was not afraid to go in jail because he is a true Khmer politician.
