Phnom Penh – 3 cops from Staung district were sued by a MP who accused them of arresting villagers without proper application of the letter of the law.

Kampong Thom SRP MP Men Sothavrin told Kampuchea Thmei in the afternoon of 26 August that he sent a complaint to sue 3 cops from Staung district to the provincial court.

The opposition MP sued: Vorn Sophorn, the deputy chief of the Staung district justice police, Soth Sokhin, a cop from the Staung district justice police and Sok Chantha, also a cop from the same Staung justice police.

In the lawsuit, the SRP MP alleged that not only did these cops not deliver the summons to show in court according to the law, they also violated the law during that time and they used force on the daughter and the husband of Mrs. Lem Nath as well.

Regarding this accusation, Vorn Sophorn told Kampuchea Thmei over the phone in the afternoon of 26 August that he did abide by the law because he had the summons in his hand. He also alleged that he read the summons to Mrs. Lem Ntah, but whether Mrs. Lem Nath listened to it or not, he did not know. He alleged that Mrs. Lem Nath did not cooperate with the cops, therefore the cops took her by hand and just dragged her.

I am wondering if the corrupted Judge will do anything about this case. Those Judges will only do things to benifit CPP but this one is against CPP . Hope he will be independent on this case .

Khmer poor people have no hope about Hun Sen judges. The next term Khmer people must stop voting for CPP.
