PARIS PEACE AGREEMENTS '91

KHMER PEOPLE ARE SUFFERING UNDER OPPRESSION

We, the undersigned, are a group of poets who pledge to support the 23rd October 1991 PARIS PEACE AGREEMENTS.

Although we are unable to attend the demonstration on site, we wish to take part to voice our protest to the international community with all our Khmer compatriots.

We wish to dedicate this poem to boost the morale and to encourage the demonstrators in demanding for our independence and for an independent Cambodia.

1. Even if our voice seems weak, we are still calling the world community to get involved without compromise. They should not tolerate HUN SEN’s dirty achievement.

2. Instead, the PPA have been violated, opposed, hindered and used to oppress Khmer people, except for those who are corrupted, who can bribe and who turn things upside down.

3. At the death ceremonial, our starved ancestors came for food, but it were from the money being stolen from national resources, thus they could not enjoy the taste of it.

4. The 19th anniversary of the PPA, which was established for structural framework, intend to defend, protect and stop Vietnam’s invasion to Cambodia.

5. The Lion (Sihanouk) – Sen have obstructed the PPA implementation and willing to be 'Hue' dogs. The only way to free Khmer people is to call for help from the world.

6. We should think of our ancestors' strategy during ANG MEI era. It was for only 8 days when Khmer people join hand in hand to force the Yuon and Sen, the traitor who threatened us by killing people one by one.

7. While the Khmers inside rise up and those outside push for change and force the Yuon, the great thief, and their underlings out; unite together to condemn their act of intrusion.

8. For the last 19 years, the Yuons are all over Cambodia, they have secured land concessions to cover up the army. Khmer have to stand up and kick the 'Hue' thieves out as they want to subject us to their federation.

9. Nearly 20 years they have broken the promises, though they joined others to sign the agreements, they turned around and stepped on them. This bring great pain and unhappiness to the people.

10. They have allowed million of Yuon army in disguise to live in the country, they secretly signed to move the borderline with boundary posts and they accepted countless flocks of Yuon immigrants.

11. They disrespect human rights. They are corrupted and taking countless bribes all along.

The country has no integrity but under 'Hue', all their agreements are made to please the Yuon.

12. The key lies with a man who is hidins his deceptive conducts.

He dares not disobey the order fearing to loose everything… so he dismisses the truth and chooses to keep quiet.

13. 'Sen' and his clan have tried hard to signed and allow Yuon to move the border with their ill and filthy conscious just like a hooligan. These male and female monkeys respect no one.

14. 'Sen' has acted to the contrary because he only cares about wealth and power. No matter what people criticize him day and night, 'Sen' keeps on going to please himself.

15. It's time for Khmer people to topple them, kick them out and defeat them. This can be done with all the mighty strength by uniting all people into one force.

16. Khmer men and women from inside and outside must aim to focus on uniting force,

Show your good strong will to assist and generate PEOPLE POWER.

17. We plead with all signatory countries to take their full responsibility to review the agreements and to acknowledge that Khmer people are suffering from the oppressors.

18. By doing this, the Yuon-Sen would wake up as they're tied by the support provided by the Super Powers. As Hillary [Clinton] and [Ban] Ki-moon would visit Cambodia, there should be a solution.

19. PPA is a key to bring great benefit to Khmer people, to push Yuon and their Khmer dogs, the traitors, out and to defend our ancestral land.

20. For over 19 years, the Khmer government, who is Yuon's slave, and their boss have ignored the agreements altogether and we have the international community to be our witnesses.

21. The PPA is a very well known agreement. Vietnam is also a signatory country who promised to abide by it and to respect Khmer integrity and sovereignty.

22. There is no doubt that the Yuons have acted to the contrary with the full cooperation from the dumb Yuon puppet monkeys who are responsible with the shrinking of the country's boundary.

23. We will protest against the deforestation and the abuse, as well as the tens of thousands of hectares of land concession given to the Yuon with lease lasting up to almost one hundred year.

24. These are the acts of war without weaponry. They bleed us dry, they cause us great pain.

It's nearly 20 years of abuse, and we no longer put up with it.

25. At present, Cambodia is ruled by an evil man who has led Khmer people to a great suffering, but he helps the Yuons fulfill their plan to rule over us.

26. Even though we have the PPA, they are simply trampled and ignored. How can we, Khmers, get a hold on peace when they uprooted it?

27. All plans were initiated by the Yuons and there are to be immediately implemented without concerns over violating universal agreement laws. Thus they put Khmers in great danger.

28. The dictatorship is perpetuated and applauded by the filthy group. The Khmer nation, which used to have good reputations, is now risking of losing of its original identity from the world map.

29. The agreement in 1991 had given hope to all Khmer people to live in peace and enjoy life as to be free to decide their future.

30. It is very unfortunate for the Khmer nation to have had leaders who hardly respect the laws. With the communists as their backing, they continue to prosecute their own and innocent people.

31. They pretend to be the nationalists, but their cruel actions are seen by the naked eyes. They very arrogantly step on the laws and yet they think they are brilliant.

32. They hold power longer than others, because they are Yuon's slave and they are hopeless to Cambodia. They can only sell our ancestor's resources to help the development of the new Vietnamese expansionism.

33. The boss and the slave are the same, they share a common character. The slight different is that Yuons ride buffaloes, whereas Hun Sen has walk in order to move the boundary posts for the Yuons.

34. Hun Sen did not respect the laws since the beginning. He grabbed and controlled the Ministry of Interior. The military budget is the sole decision of this one eye man who manipulates the justice system at his will.

35. Now that [Ban] Ki-moon, head of the UN, knows the [political] game in and out, following his departure from Phnom Penh to visit Hanoi, would the latter accepts to listen to Ki-moon?
