I'm glad you talking about our debt to current country. Hun Sen borrowed money to build bridge and road. What amazed me is that Lon Nol borrowed money to buy weapon and to put int he pockets of his cronies. Yet, Hun Sen government was asked by the US government to pay back Lon Nol's debt. Think about this...Lon Nol brought Cambodia in to Vietnam war,borrowed money from US, and the Khmer Rouge survivors and this government has to pay back the mess created by Lon Nol. Did Lon Nol get us any land back? Did he protect our land or only got us in to more trouble and caused the Vietcong to come deeper and deeper in to Cambodia?

No the money Lon Nol loaned mostly went to corrupted officers, and the Vietcong came more and more in to Cambodia because his government was too weak. If you don't know what bridge and road were built with loan money, you never live in Cambodia. Prek Kdam bridged fund was loaned from China. The reconstruction of National Road 78, Road 62 from Kampong Thom to Preah Vihear, 23 bridges to Vietnam border, and to restore Road 3762. Those projects all came from loan from China. So before you attacking me, please do your research. Lon Nol borrowed money to buy weapon to create more and put money in his pocket. Hun Sen keeps some money in his pocket, but he got things done for the country too. You can't compare Lon Nol's accomplishment to Hun Sen's. Lon Nol had done nothing but to create more and to get us in to the Killing Field. No Lon Nol, No US bomb, the Khmer Rouge wouldn't get in to power.
