Khmer troops are very small when compare to Thai troops. Thailand have a populations of about 80 millions where as Cambodia has about 14 millions.
That's about a ratio of 6 to 1. At the moment Thai solider outnumbered Khmer soldier about 10 to 1.
It's not that they die more, it's about being outnumber which the Cambodia is afraid of.
Need more troops. If full scale war start, Cambodia is easily beaten down.

I'm Cambodian. I'm neither in Hun Sen's gang nor in the opposition. I'm for Cambodia and it's people. I know those links that I posted have nothing to do with the border issue. That shows the power of image. Thais think that their soldiers are the best. The pictures show what happens to them.
