Press Release: Theary Seng appealing ECCC decision re Meas Muth and Sou Met; lodging new application against Im Chaem, Ta An, Ta Tith
"In this one application, I publicly named and expressly hold Khmer Rouge military commanders Meas Muth and Sou Met directly, personally, individually responsible to me for the Crimes against Humanity (including the legal elements of murder, extermination, enslavement, imprisonment, torture, political persecution) in their roles as commanders of the Navy and Air Force of Democratic Kampuchea [national positions], respectively, and for their material contribution in developing and implementing the common design and purpose of a joint criminal enterprise [resulting in 1,700,000 deaths] which impacted the whole of Cambodia. That is to say, as a matter of international law, they are directly responsible for my legal injuries during the fall and exodus out of Phnom Penh (Phase I Movement) when my father, a Lon Nol military commander, “disappeared” [if rejecting Ms. Theary C. Seng's application, the CIJs are saying that these national military commanders of the Navy and Air Force had nothing to do with the capture and exodus of Phnom Penh????!!!!!] ; and the movement of the population of the East Zone (Phase 3) [expressly mentioned in the Introductory Submission as noted by UN Co-Prosecutor in his Press Release, May 9, 2011] when the Khmer Rouge imprisoned my family and me first at Wat Tlork and then Boeung Rai Security Centers, where I experienced and witnessed, inter alia, the death of my mother, among the 30,000 (thirty-thousand) lives estimated to have been extinguished at Boeung Rai. Here, the legal nexus are the CRIMES, not the geographically districts and zones they physically commandeered, vis-à-vis me as an applicant, except for their criminal actions as they were related to the capture and exodus out of Phnom Penh in 1975 when we shared proximity."
The U.N. Co-Prosecutor is smart in the nick of time in switching to the right side of history. with this detailed press release of May 9, 2011. But where are the "official voices of the victims" [cough! cough!] - Mr. Ang Pich and Ms. Elisabeth Simmoneau-Fort? Where are the other U.N. judges and senior officials in condemning the travesty of justice underway?

The problem is that we keep trusting these foreign idiots.
Khmer Rouge trials are wasting money and time done nothing good to the current Khmer people that are suffering and loss of land to the Vietnamese expansion.
While the world is busy watching the trial on puppet Khmer Rouge, the master of Khmer Rogue which is the Viet, are laughing all the way to Cambodia.
Khmer Rouge is dead and that is the end of the story! If anybody want to relive the story of Khmer Rouge and go do a movie!

comparing the trial, notwithstanding all its shortcomings, to the gas chambers that killed millions of Jewish people disqualifies the author from being taking seriously.

It would be laughable for anyone to compare the genocide in Cambodia with at least 6,000,000 Jewish who were killed in Germany.
This was not the first Genocides in Cambodia that Cambodians had, there were Genocides before but it didn't have a record of it.
Since the Vietnamese freed from Chinese, they marched toward South and killed the Cham people and Khmers how many millions? No body is worrying to find out.
This is not the first time the Vietnamese killed Khmers, so many times before and continue to do the killings behind the masks.
I am so worried about our Khmer population keeps going and the population of Cambodians (Vietnamese) keep going up.
I am looking for CHAMPA GENOCIDE by the Vietnamese Warlords, the Nguyens, not this few seeds that died in Cambodia, but the millions that were massacred in Champa Kingdom.
Vietnam was massacred Chams,Hmong,Montagnards,and other ethnic groups, Khmer Krom,(read Kampuchea Krom history),Khmer Vietminh,Khmer Rouge(Khmer Rouge and Khmer Vietminh killing among themselves,Vietnam used Khmer to kill Khmer).
Vietnam is using Hun Sen as it shield
to kill Cambodians; and Hun Sen
lets Vietnamese flood in Cambodia.
Vietnam has had done to Champa,
To Khmer Krom(used Chey Chetha II as it shield,Yuon flooded in Kampuchea Krom).
Can Cambodians depend on Hun Sen to
solve this problem?No
Can Sam Rainsy Party or Human Rights to solve it?No
Who solve it?All Khmer oversea and in Cambodia WAKE UP,STAND UP,RISE UP AGAINST HUN SEN AND VIETNAMESE IN CAMBODIA.
These words could remind us:
responsibility,communication,and
duty.
