The interview is funny.
The way Kem Sokha responded to the questions and the way the host asked questions are very hilarious. it sounded to me that they were in big argument. the host seemed to use Socrate's Method of asking question, "Sour Denh Cheung."
Anyway, i didn't find Kem Sokha's responses reasonable. Personally, i think he can't cover what were heard in his private call with the PM.
It is no doubt that the SRP find it impossible to merge with HRP after this learning about this conversation.
The reveal also has benefited greatly for the CPP. They can keep their challengers divided while they are more likely to keep gaining more votes. "Bravo the CPP"

I think that 3:18AM is trying to understand of what is going on in Khmer politic. I believe that Hun Sen knew about this recording. I couldn't understand why does Hun Sen let this tape go public while Kem Sokka is doing such a god job at wasting SRP votes during the 2008 Election. Without Kem Sokka's HRP the CPP wouldn't get 90 seats and SRP would get more than 26 seats. Why not let HRP stay as it is just to give SRP a hard time and the CPP doesn't have to do anything? Many people know that Kem Sokka is selfish and he can lie through his teeth with no shame but; many of his followers are blind to see that. He did not create HRP for the sake of the country but rather for his own financial gain. I knew that he was lying when he came to the US and talk about the fact he did not want to create HRP but many people are pushing him to do it. Now we know for sure that one of that people who wanted him to create HRP was Hun Sen, the master of deceiving himself.

Kem Sokha has many wounds on his back. If he don't do what they ask they will poke it. As we just recently see and previously the corruption case against him that has been quiet for a while.
Anyway, I think the reason such sensitive conversation released is simply to distroyed HRP since Kem Sokha have not done the job in distroying SRP to CPP expectation. CPP knows that SRP definitely too smart to merge with HRP. Therefore, they play another game such as distroying HRP to provide opportunity to install HRP defictors to SRP. SRP must be very careful with all HRP defectors. As we all knows, CPP is dirty as Youn command them to be.

As a Khmer fellow, I am not happy to see Khmer leader fight each other like that. They both are surviving under the strategy of the enemy CPP. It is not a good sign of Khmer’s survival at all. In this bad situation, Khmer leader should be united and be very patient in building our strength to fight back the enemy in order to save our mother land.

After the 1997 coup against Ranarith,the international community maked pressure and sanctions against the illegal goverment Hun Sen and Ung Hourt and at that time Hun Sen nearly collasped, Sam Rainsy betrayed Ranarith broke the sanctions and had a secret meeting at Hun Sen'house.

I agree with coment made by Mr Meach Sovanna that all Cambodian opposition parties must find themselves a way to unite tofether as an alliance if they cannot unite as one party.
To join as an alliance is a good strategy for keeping each of them separate and is allowing each party enough resource for next election campaign. So in the election campaign, they should have a ticket for their alliance for voters to vote for them. I am still not very happy for all the political parties to have been quiet for the way NEC has adopted the election result. To my understanding, all election results in the past three elections were wrong and need to be reviewed. If they can look at that election result again, then, they can target for their next campaign. I have written many time about these mistake of election result. But no one has ever taken attention for these mistake.

• Four unnamed body-guards of Nhek Bun Chhay were summarily executed after his office-cum-house in Somnang

• Pheap, a body-guard of Major Lak Ki, in his late twenties
• Dok Rany, 27, an officer and body-guard of Gen. Chao Sambath who worked at the Research and Intelligence Bureau
• Ros Huon, aged 23, Sopheap, aged 25, two alleged members of the Gendarmerie
• Dok Sokhun, alias Michael Senior, a Khmer-Canadian journalist who taught English at ACE Language School in Phnom Penh
• Major Aek Eng (CPP), Head of Administration of Phnom Penh Thmei police station
• At least four, and possibly up to 22 persons described as FUNCINPEC soldiers executed and cremated in Pich Nil on 9, 10 and 11 July 1997 by Military Region 3 soldiers. Status: Confirmed executions in at least 4 cases
• 34 to 36 (and possibly 45). On 17 July, at about noon time, the body of a soldier was witnessed floating near the bank of the Tone Bassac near the Watt Chum Leap, in the village of the same name, Rokakpong commune, Saang district, Kandal province. The body was headless and both hands were tied up behind the back with a kramma. It was dressed in dark olive military uniform
• 37 and 38. Two unidentified men, blindfolded and with their hands tied behind the back. Status: Confirmed executions
• Pheap, aged 33, a bodyguard of the First Prime Minister. Status: Confirmed execution.
• Sok Vanthorn, 21 and Sou Sal, two villagers from Ampeov village, Kompong Speu province. Status: Confirmed execution.

• Navy officer Meas Sarou, Deputy-director, First Bureau, Navy, based in Chrouy Changvar, and one of his body-guards, and a third person, a woman named Luch.
• Ung Sim, Second Deputy Governor, Kompong Speu province - missing since his arrest, reportedly near Pich Nil by CPP soldiers on 7 or 8 July 1997.
