We are presenting below additional proof to the illegal leasing of farmland near the border to Vietnamese citizens. Map 1 shows the general location of the land leased with respect to a Google Earth map of Svay Rieng province.

Map 2 shows a closed-up view to the illegal leased land. Based on Google Earth map, the contentious area is located about 4.5-kilometer from the border. According to the 2010 Cambodian law on foreign ownership, Cambodian citizens are not allowed to lease or rent out land to foreign nationals within 30 kilometer from the border.

According to the villagers, they rent out their 100+ hectares to a Cambodian man from Prasat commune who serves as a "front-man" for a Vietnamese company in Tay Ninh. The rent rate is set at $100 per hectare, of which the land owners receive $75 per hectare and government officials (municipal and commune officials) receive $25 per hectare for "giving an official nod" to the illegal renting arrangement.
Below is a leasing contract signed between Mao Sok, a Cambodian citizen, and Truong Minh Tung, a Vietnamese citizen. Mao Sok whose name appears in the contract does not own the 29-hectare of farmland, he is merely a real estate broker. In this case, the contract was signed with a local government "official nod" but without the official stamp and seal.
Latest update: Local activists who revealed this illegal leasing scheme have been summoned to appear at the Bavet city hall "to answer questions on personal issues." It appears that both the Svay Rieng provincial authority and the Bavet authority are putting pressure on these local activists to keep them quiet.

Whatsoever all land are Cambodian land from this border pass Prey Nokor to the ocean. If Khmer people are smart and united like Thai people we can reclaim those land from Vietnamese.

There are laws in place to prevent such a possibly dangerous and costly activity in the long run.
It looks like the renters (the peasants), the middle men, the officials and the government itself are all stupid!

In Cambodia most people usually don't give a damn about losing territorial integrity.
Those who care are usually ended up in jails or having lots of difficulties with the authority. They and their families face economic hardship as well as they spend time trying to raise awareness and fight for the complete territorial integrity of Cambodia. For that reason they work less for a living and therefore sacrifice their good livelihood for the "don't-give-a-damn" majority who enjoy the newly found wealth.
Reasons of losing territorial integrity come much and much more from the inside, which can be fixed than the outside, which can't be fixed.

Since it is next to the border with Vietnam, we might as well just give it to Vietnam and surely Vietnam will annex that to be as theirs in the not too long future if Hun Sen continue to run Cambodia. It also want to mention that is against Cambodia's constitution/law to lease land so close to border the country next door. WHO IS HUN SEN???
I never understand why khmers keep voting for Hun Sen. No body puts gun to their heads but why they did so knowing that one day they and their children become landless in their own land. Ah kwak Hun sen is the traitor to Cambodia. May he and his whole clans die soon.

One of KI-Media member who has his name in Facebook as Khmer Sovannaphumi but his real name is Pang Sokhoeun, former political asylum and now living in Sweden. He always copies news from here to post in his facebook profile to promote himself, but right now, he tries to remove and blocked anyone who dares to reveal his con activity particular he tries to hide what he has cheated his wife (Sreypov Chea) by having a girlfriend (Sokunthear Sam) behind his wife back. Now, his girlfriend had run way from him after she knew his cheating.
A con man Pang Sokhoeun as well as KI-Media like to insult to the government officers who have affairs, but himself does even worse than other people. What a shame!

Your gorvernment has case against the Viet. And if the owner wants to give away to Viet, the Viet can have it but it is still Camdodian land.
