Synopsis: 3-golden stars general Chhoeun Chan Thorn (aka Mao), the former chief of Chea Xim's bodyguard unit was arrested on Saturday 13 August 2011. He is suspected of involvement in drug dealing (just like Moek Dara, the other general belonging to the Sar Kheng clan)or he could involved be a large cache of ammunition.

Hun Sen group has been watching Chhoeun Chan Thorn for years. The activities started when Chhoeun Chan Thorn met with Sar Kheng and few people that Hun Sen suspected arm conflict would start with this group and his group. Hun Sen yet to cut out Sar Kheng's subordinate isolate him from Power.
Chea Sim's clan will stay behind the two revolutions which will explode next year. Mark my word... Chea Sim is fed up with Hun Sen distrust him right now.

I think the LOTUS revolution will kick start from within the CPP. For sure, if Chea Sim and Sar Kheng clans don't take a pre-emptive strike, they will be removed one by one by the Hun Sen clan.

The problem with having Sam Rainsy or any of the opposition come to power is that they will not have support from the police and the military.
If you take a look at the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces and the National Police is that their loyalty is NOT FOR THE KINGDOM. The military & police generals' loyalty is towards CPP leaders and business tycoons. Some of these generals and their soldiers work as bodyguards for individual CPP leaders and companies.
Cambodia doesn't truly have a national armed force in this respect. It is pretty much a collection of political bodyguards and company security.
Not to mention which army but there are discontent among them also. Not all Khmer army are with Hun Sen. They are aware of the viet being enchroaching khmer land. They are khmer nationalists too. Only few tops military who get power and money but majority still live poorly with no assurance of their future. Hun Sen has asked all his trust military big brass to keep watching those who were brought to power by samdech Chea Sim and Heng Samrin.
One of Sar Kheng close associate complained that his phone was taped twice. He asked Sar Kheng to do something but Sar Kheng said that the time is not their side yet.

Three men charged with illegally transporting 2,000 dogs to vietnam

NAKHON PHANOM : Police have filed six charges against three men accused of illegally transporting almost 2,000 dogs to Vietnam to be butchered for human consumption.
Nakhon Phanom administrative officers and police on Thursday arrested three suspects _ two Thais and a Vietnamese _ in separate operations near the Thai-Laos border.
The authorities found the first six-wheeled truck carrying about 600 live dogs on a road in Nakhon Phanom's Na Thom district.
Scores of dogs crammed into tiny cages were rescued by police as they were being smuggled out of Thailand, bound for Vietnam.(AFP Photo)

Sar Kheng has been a big problem for Hun sen for a longtime. Everyone in Cambodia like Sar Kheng very much and they hated Hun Sen for his assciating with all criminal gangs. Also Hun sen'wife has always look down to Sar kheng wife as a black woman who know knothing.

I want to see the United Nations setting up contigency plan for Cambodia to deal with the change of government in Cambodia either by election or by people power. And the possibilty conflicts between warring armed groups.
United Nations should have armed quick reaction force ready for dispatch in time of need, followed by long term peacekeepers whose mandate and withdrawal must be approved by the UNSC, not by a Cambodian Head of State like the previous UNTAC.

One of KI-Media member who has his name in Facebook as Khmer Sovannaphumi but his real name is Pang Sokhoeun, former political asylum and now living in Sweden. He always copies news from here to post in his facebook profile to promote himself, but right now, he tries to removed and blocked anyone who dares to reveal his con activity particular he tries to hide what he has cheated his wife (Sreypov Chea) by having a girlfriend (Sokunthear Sam) behind his wife back. Now, his girlfriend had ran way from him after she knew his cheating.
A con man Pang Sokhoeun as well as KI-Media like to insult to the government officers who have affairs, but himself does even worse than other people. What a shame!
Good people are good because they've come to wisdom through failure.
I find it impossible for Chea Sim and Sar Kheng to overthrow Hun Sen now. The right time was before Ke Kim Yan's removal from his position as the general of the military. Now that he's been tossed out, and the position filled up with Hun Sen's loyal cronies, such as Pol Sarouen and his son, it is almost impossible for Sar Kheng and Chea Sim to move a muscle without being shot down before they can take off with their plan, if they even have one. Even in Sar Kheng's Ministry of Interior, not everyone higher up in this ministry is loyal to Sar Kheng, as they see Chea Sim and Sar Kheng's days in the power are numbered. They are left there purely for keeping up appearances. PERIOD.

Anti-Corruption Unit was created to appease international pressures to curb corruptions in Cambodia. But it was it was primarily created as a tool to isolate the Chea Sim's clan by using it to pick out individuals loyal to Chea Sim and Sar Kheng so as to isolate them from power and at the same time to consilidate Hun Sen's grip on power, which it seems to work its magic quite nicely as of late.
