The SRP, Cambodia’s largest opposition party, had decided to boycott the NatAss (National Assembly) until a reform is brought to the election system and until land confiscation ends.

Yim Sovann, the SRP spokesman, said that all SRP MPs will not participate in the NatAss meetings until a new decision will be made by the SRP permanent committee. The boycott is done to push for reform at the National Election Committee (NEC) and to put an end to land confiscation.

Kul Panha, Comfrel director, said that the SRP boycott will not prevent the adoption of any draft law, but it will make their adoption incomplete since the NatAss will not have the necessary quorum.

During this morning session, no SRP MPs were seen during the adoption of the draft law on public procurement, only 84 CPP and HRP MPs attended the session.

Remember the dramatized Opposition's Annual Budget Approval boycott. That act has turned to be a girlcotted(Ke Sovannaroth quit the MP post and is back into her own business.

I can't wait to applause the Opposition success in this new boycotting plot.

HRP MPs and Mr. Kem Sokha,

What on earth are you doing in the National Assembly?

Come on, don't be so cheap! You can get a cup of coffee outside, can't you?

I am so disappointed in your leadership, Mr. Kem! You know the SRP did the right thing on this one and you should join them even though the spotlight is not on your party, at least it shows your good conscience and thought!

I know there is a large enough difference between you and Mr. Sam and that is why your party can't merge with Mr Sam's into one party to form a union to fight a common enemy.

Is there NOT enough difference between yours and the CPP party?

Is the reason behind which the SRP members of the National Assembly chose not to participate in the session not good enough for you and your party?

Cambodians who voted for you and your party should have voted for the CPP since having done so they may have got some benefits from the ruling party, don't you think?

I am pretty sure the FUNCINPEC and NRP members were there; well, they have found a good niche in the National Assembly to get fat with nothing to do, but to raise their hands every now and then.

Pissed off
