The Cambodian King and his institution with their short sightedness and lack of courage follow in the footprint of King Father Norodom Sihanouk who defended Cambodia for his monarchy and the royal institution and not the country and her people themselves.
Hun Sen does not have to continue to threaten to abolish the purposeless and cowardly Khmer monarchy, it has already committed suicide.
Its physical existence remains for now, but it has no moral value and commands no respect from the rising educated young and old people of Cambodia.
Being afraid to accept even a petition from the children of Boeung Kak has dealt a deadly blow to this institution!
The royal palace has certainly no wisdom as can be seen by its decision and action. Perhaps all the angels surrounding the throne are too ignorant and useless since they do not even know how to help our hopeless king!

It is about time for the king to quit (abdicate) and stop Ah Hun Sen from using him as a puppet.
When Ah Hun Sen does not have an answer for the people, he tells the people it is up to the king to decide, but behind the scene he orders the king what to do.
If the king does not want to quit, promote Ah Hun Sen to be the Emperor since he is already above the king.

I remember when I was a child and I was told to salute the king and queen in our country. I was ordered to go and standing on the public sidewalk to watch the Father King Sihanuke (the traitor.)parade in City Battambang.
I was told he has magic power when and where ever he goes it will rain and good cloudly day. I was also told Cambodia is one of the most abandant natural resources and abundant of fish comparing other countries.
As I get older, I realize Cambodian is one of the most poorest country in Asia and the most unstable country.
Also I realize Cambodian is the "bagger" society and never stop asking for more money and the money never gone to the right person who needed them.
Other country like Thai Land the king taught their people how to farm correctly and how to produce a certain type plants in a certain area in order to yeild better products (that our enemy country capable of.) However, Our King busy watch Apsara dancing and possible having sex with teh young girls in the king dormiotories,

I am a non-Asian, but I have few Asian friends. I visited Angkor Wat then I learned about the history of Cambodia and the past/present troubles Cambodia has faced.
From reading all the comments here, I sense that you Cambodians do not really understand your own history at all or you just ignorant irrational people who can not reason.
May be only a few Cambodians such as yourselves, but perhaps, many are rational people and can reason somewhere I have not yet met/read their comments.
I can only tell you this that the problems in your country cause by the Vietnamese since in the past until this present.
The Vietnamese are all over in your country, and many Cambodians will be killed by them.
Only GOD can help, but how you can ask His helps is your decision.

Yes, it does help.
Sihanouk and his whole family destroy Cambodia. He allowed Viet Cong used Cambodia soil as their sanctuary to fight US and South VN.
He declared Cambodia as an Independent State but he actually sided with Viet Cong fighting the South why our country is in the hand of Viet Cong.

Your comment is wrong. Sihanouk or no Sihanouk, including yourself if you have the power, all of you will still be defeated by the aggressive Viets. They planted strategies in your country since after they took Champa. They brainwashed your people in all provinces with fake love and supports so you killed each others. They killed intellectual Cambodians and continue to kill more by poisoning them. At the same time they're marching into Cambodia, because they knew the areas like their fingers.
Instead of blaming each others for centuries, you all should find way to fight this aggressive Viets.

Thanks you telling us, but this we know already. That's why the Viet don't allow Khmer students learn their history right now. During 1791-1846 (Queen Ang Mey), Khmer was the province of Viet, Phnom Penh was changed as Tran Tay and Viet controled Khmers 55 years. After all Khmers revolted bloody against Youn troup every where, Khmer was free from Viet in 1846. Now they come against by using CPP under Hun Sen, till now just 32 years. What will be happen from day to day for Khmers?

Thanks to this remark. I do hope that is time that all Khmers must act against Viet strategy. If all Khmers like Israel people, Viet have never chance at all.
Our Kaun Khmers inside are not allowed to learn the history, because the history showed that Yuon were too evils toward us. But we can send them this link of the independent library online to read and learn. My friends forwarded it to me. I am reading "Vietnam expansionism 1" is so sad how Yuon did to us.
