SRP Correction [to Cambodge Soir article]

15-10-2007
Cambodge Soir
Translated from French by Luc Sâr

Eng Chhay Eang, SRP Secretary-general, reacted to our article published on 10 October, regarding Sam Rainsy’s European visit.

Following the publication of our article dated 10 October 2007, titled: “Sam Rainsy is looking for financial aid from overseas,” Eng Chhay Eang, SRP Secretary-general, would like to bring forth a correction. We wrote: “Sam Rainsy will participate in the election of new party representatives, in some of the European countries, such as Germany and Belgium…” In a letter sent to Cambodge Soir, the SRP Secretary-general denied talking about this matter, and he explains that he mentioned 3 points regarding the visit of his party President, Sam Rainsy, to Europe, which are: “meeting with foreign politician-friends, visiting the Cambodian community and SRP activists in Europe, and encouraging SRP leaders who were elected for a new mandate in France.
