It is an important point of the history of our country which we often forget.
No serious spirit, no scientist can demonstrate that the genocide is possible without Lon Nol's coup in 1970.

hello!! be educated and stop the childish game of blaming anyway but yourself. it is called war, conflict. wars and conflicts are destruction in many way, although the end result is usually some sort of change for better or worth. but they are destructive to say the least. if you ask me, i think everyone had contributed some ways or another to the past destruction of cambodia because people then didn't get long and they didn't like each other due to political differences or what have you as people are very personal, sensitive, greedy, and people are subjective in many way. and when people like that are in the position of power as in dictatorship, tyrannical power, who got the upper hands, they will kill each other. isn't this been going one for thousands of years in the human history if one is to study history, i mean any country's country or the history of the world, wars and conflicts kill, displaced and traumatized people from all walks of life. it is now that cambodia have peace and prosperity and we should be focusing on this new concepts and ideas to bring cambodia out of misery, otherwise, history can repeat itself if a people aren't careful or are not learning from their history or history of other country. so blame others all you want, but the educated will always see the true meaning of war and conflict. cambodia should be asking when are we going to learn from our bad mistake or sad history. then, can we move on to better things for the nation. thank you.
