The land thieves [Vietnam] are angry because they are caught by Sam Rainsy

Anger over Vietnam/Cambodia border action

Sat, 31 Oct 2009

ABC Australia Network News

Vietnam has condemned Cambodia's opposition leader for uprooting posts marking the border between the two countries, asking Phnom Penh to protect the nations' sensitive demarcation process.

Sam Rainsy has reportedly removed six markers at the Vietnam border in Cambodia's southeastern Svay Rieng province, alleging they'd been illegally placed by Vietnamese authorities.

Vietnam's foreign ministry has called the opposition leader's act perverse - undermining common assets, violating laws of Cambodia and Vietnam, treaties, agreements and deals between the two countries.

Cambodia and Vietnam officially began demarcating their contentious border in September 2006, in a bid to end decades of territorial disputes.

This is good. The demarcation should've been done with the international cooperation and expertise, and eye witnessed of the local citizens.

I padded SRP president on the shoulder for having the courage to do so. It's about time to have someone who works for the Country.

It was given to them by hun sen.

The Vietnamese should have not done the business with Hun Sen. He didn't go to school to study or to understand what or where exactly the frontier of Cambodia is or how many Miles Cambodia land supposed to be.
Just because the Vietnamese gave their land to China didn't mean they have the right to cheat Cambodians and dealing or manipulating Hun Sen knowing that he lacks of education about the geoplitics in the region. Now the vietnamese have to deal with the international court for breaking the international law encroaching to its neighboring country.

What laws of Vietnam-Cambodia treaties these Viets are talking about? The Vietnmese put Hun Srn in power and controlled him, and how can the Vietnamese accused Hun Sen of doing treaty with them if they're the one who have all power above him? Hun Sen was held hostage and was forced to do what he was threatned to do, so the treaty between Hun Sen and Vietnamese must be nullified.

It is not Vietnam-Cambodia treaties it was Vietnam-Vietnam treaties. Hun Sen was just an innocence victim.

Burn these stakes! Villagers should take all these stakes out that cut across their rice field and burn them!

They never cut across ricefield of Vietnamese but they always cut across rice field of Cambodian people to get more land and make us more miserable.

Brothers and sisters, if you love your livelihood and believe in your right to food and right against hunger

I appeal you all, to burn all the stakes put in by the CPP or by Hanoi on your ricefield.

If they shoot you, let the world know that you were shot defending your family's rights to live and eat!

Those savage Hanoi and Khmer Crook Politic will always make you depend on them to exist.

We have right to eat like everyone else!

When you see at night you take them out at night and burn them, when you see day time, burn them!

I had learned in the history course in primary school that with Chey Chetha II Cambodia had lost a portion of land to Vietnam in 17th century. In 20th century under Chey Chetha III Cambodia had lost Kampuchea Krom to Vietnam. and again in the 21st century under Chey Chetha IV Cambodia continues to lose its land to this neighbour.
We cannot stop our neighbours, in the East or in the West nor in the north to covet and steal Cambodia's land, because our successive rulers, whether kings or prime ministers, continue to sell it for personal power and pride and honour to the detriment and expense of the life of Kaun Khmer. Cambodian leaders, like a family’s father in a house, since centuries keep on oppressing, beating, mistreating, selling, blood shedding, raping, grabbing, killing his very own children inside his own household to its neighbour thieves and burglars.
To stop this is to have a good loving father, a family provider, a godly father.
Khmers does not learn the lesson from God's judgment and punishment. God is using Khmer Rouge and Viet invader to do it. Khmers have to know that that punishment were from our loving God. He wants to preserve Khmers by repent from our wicked ways and life.
But we do not learn and do not repent. On the contrary they are even more wicked ever. The rulers do not heed to any repeated warnings. God uses anything to do it; Un envoy, Human Right NGO, Global witness, etc…Because of his stubbornness in the wickedness God will crush and destroy those rulers from his face to preserve Khmer nation from total destruction. God will severely punished wicked Khmers who maintain those rulers in oppressing God's people. God will raise his lowly and humble sons to do his work to preserve Khmers and bless them forever. This is His plan for his people. No wicked rulers can stop God plan.
As to the Viet an Thai, their might and power will not prevail against God plan which is to bless all His people. His judgment, his wrath will be upon them as well. So Vietnam and Thiland shoud stop their wicked ways against their neighbours. Pursue peace and love and you reap it. Pursue violence and oppression and rubbery, you will reap its fruits.

Long live to the Khmer nation!

And by the way, don't fall into yuon trap by accusing Hun Sen as traitor. Yuons forced Hun Sen to sign all those treaties. If Hun Sen refused, yuons would kill him like they did to Chan Si, or put him in jail like they did to Pen Sovann.

I am wondering why no one ask Viet why those border posts were in Cambodian farm land . If those posts have been setting up by both sides Khmer and Viet , why didn't they do it right on the border line instead of on Khmer soil ?

border demarcation should be left to the border experts who, i'm sure, did thorough study of the border lines before demarcating with youn. it is not mr. hun sen job to demarcate the border, so, the experts have to make sure they do their job without higher influence or interference with their border tasks, really! that's the way it should be. again, it's not the prime minister or kings' job to do this; leave it to the border experts, ok!

of course, this little act by sam rainsy is symbolic to raise awareness to national and international community of what's going on behind closed door in regards to illegal border demarcation with youn (vietnam), really! i say, good job, mr. sam rainsy as this should bring the attention to the national and international border committee. cambodia can't afford to lose anymore khmer land as this is not the dark ages, you know! didn't we lose enough already during the dark ages? just look at the mekong delta and prey nokor, for example, really!

and cambodia's koh tral, too, you know. youn stole it from cambodia!

I admire Lok Sam Raisy, he very brave to do that. Shame of Youn government try to condemned Lok Samrainsy, I would like to urge all khmer people stand up to protect our country.

This is our land, it's belong to khmer not belong to Youn's. Please stand up and support each other, no one love khmer then khmer love khmer.

The Royal government of Cambodia must seek UN intervention regarding illegal border posts moved inside Cambodia by Vietnam. Our Khmer farmers and peasants along border can report to provincial authorities regarding any irregularities. We need modern tech to verify the boundary markers according to existing UN maps.

We lost Kampuchea Krom by King Chey Chetta II because of a "Vietnamese pussy."

Now we lose more land because Hun Sen is a "Vietnamese puppet." Undeniably, the Viets helped him gained power and wealth (through plundering Cambodia's natural resources and extreme corruption.)

If the CPP is truly a Khmer nationalist party, then it should not be silence regarding Vietnamese illegal encroachment into Khmer land and sue Sam Rainsy.

If Hun Sen wants to be a national Hero like King-Father Sihanouk, he must take Vietnam to the international court of justice regarding Koh Tral and the illegal treaties coerced by Vietnam into signing in 1985. If not, he and his family should emigrate to Hanoi for good.

Hun Sen gets a (D-) for mishandling the Preah Vihear case. Prolonging bilateral negotiations is a waste of time. This should have been in UN security council for discussion.

The Cambodian people deserve to have a leader that cares about their concerns, protect their land, provide freedom, security and justice. At the same time, safeguard national interests above personal and foreign interests.

Cambodia was a victims to these Neighbors country for so long, because cambodia is small country, poors and weaks army, cambodia is much better these days, cambodia can upgrade her militray step by step, otherwise these Neighbors country will keep taunting, mocking, taken advantaged on us like TRASH in the dirts....

If Khmer can fight Viet, we would already encroach on their land. Let's face it.
We are weak and their is nothing we can't do about until we get stronger.
