KING FATHER NORODOM SIHANOUK REACTS TO SAM RAINSY’S BORDER REPORT
On November 7, opposition leader Sam Rainsy wrote to His Majesty the King Father Norodom Sihanouk, who is currently in Beijing, to inform him about the situation along the border with Vietnam, especially in Svay Rieng province where Cambodian farmers are continuously losing their rice fields because of border encroachments by the Vietnamese authorities.
Nobody understands the current border delineation process, which totally lacks transparency. Wooden poles have been arbitrarily and forcibly planted on Cambodian farmers’ rice fields by the Vietnamese authorities to allegedly delineate a “white zone”, which in turn would determine a new border line that would run deep inside Cambodia’s territory.
With the moral support of their elected representatives, Cambodian villagers have pulled out some of those wooden poles to symbolically show their refusal to give up ancestral rice fields they have been cultivating since 1979 and to be deprived of their livelihoods.
His Majesty the King Father, who presided over the now-defunct Supreme National Council on Border Affairs, which Sam Rainsy was a member of, reacted to the opposition leader’s report by writing today (November 10) three letters to CPP and Senate President Chea Sim, National Assembly President Heng Samrin and Prime Minister Hun Sen, asking them to “examine” the information and evidence provided by Sam Rainsy.

It's waiste of time with the old ex-king Sehanok. Come on, Hun Xen and his compatriots will not listen to him. No one listen to this old dog anymore. Especially the current unethical rulling government.
Very good start H.E.Sam Rainsy, the encroachment of border by Vietnam will not be silent any more.
Khmers need to unite to protect our territorial land and people. Whenever, Hun Sen is crazily losing his strong stance with Thailand by appointing Thaksin (who is a criminal of one country) as personal economic advisor....Cambodian people and all political affiliates have to support Sam Rainsy in handling with Vietnam through the people unity and international laws regarding their ambition to trespass Cambodia land.

To Sam Rainsy supported group: If you want all Cambodian beleive your information regarding the wrong posting of border pole (border encroachments by the Vietnam authorities) you must report the grid reference (GR of UTM absis and UTM ordonné) at the that pole so that people will take this GR number to project in the GIS map and they will see if it (GR) is inside the line of map border or at or outside.
All Cambodian people do not know about GIS Map, GR or UTM. Please, use MAP and redraw the current border and the one that will be official. You show it to everyone. And then, Cambodian people can know how many km2 encroached by Vietnamese. Using the technical terms to hide the real intention is wrong; vulgarization is a better way to make average people understood.
I am not SR supporter; I get hurt just when I see the people are evicted from their rice field.

What is technical and GIS MAP you would refer to support Vietnamese expert of border delineation? What we have seen is that Cambodian farmers have gradually lost their land...or you want to say that Cambodian farmers have taken Vietnamese lands?

It's so laughable while Xam RainXy runs around asking former King Sihanouk for helping him, but most of his stupid supporters always insulted and attack King Sihanouk from the back.
Do you guys think King Sihanouk helps Xam RaiXy? Everyone can bet about it.

When peasants loose their fields, in most countries, Government broadcasts the issue to the population explaining the reason of the lost land. The Royal Government of Cambodia does not care about this issue, what means this silence? Even DAP news that clams to be neutral does not spend any sentence for those suffered farmers who loose their paddy field.
Xam RainXy is a coward and flip flop politician. In front of his stupid supporters, he has criticized former King Sihanouk, but when he is in Cambodia, he always runs around bow his head to ground asking King Sihanouk for help when he has trouble with Cambodian government. Why Xam RainXy is not brave in insulting King Sihanouk likes most his supporters do??
Some people stated that because of Xam RainXy has woman character, it's hard for him to show up as a man. That is his nature.

Sam Raingsy has to inform,update, and advise King Sihanouk and seek Sihanouk's help regarding the situation of our borders with Vietnam. As a Khmer official, like it or not, it's a courtesy or protocol whether you like King Sihanouk or not? It just like you guys that always critize Sihanouk and Hun Sen right now! imagine if you're face to face with Hun Sen or King Sihanouk right now, would you still maintain your current attitude or will you bend over? maybe lower that Sam Raingsy? The point is Sam Raingsy doesn't want to bypass the king as he knows that while Sihanouk is still alive, he still has some weight left? If we are going to rally behind Sam Raingsy, let's stop criticizing these little tit tat as no one is perfect in this world or as the khmer proverb said: your mistake is as big as a mountain but you cannot see whereas other's mistake is so tiny and small but you see it bigger than a mountain????
I can give up not supporting Sam Rainsy Party but I can't stop criticise King Sihanouk. In politics, we have to show what we stand for, rather than hide our real face with supporters aim to get their money to survive.

Mr hun sen dare not say a word concerning thr border encroachment by the viet. This shows that mr hun sen a coward.
In the 1970s, Nixon and Kissinger invented the domino theory.
I offer you in the problems of borders with Cambodia, Vietnam, Thailand, the theory of shifting boundaries that advance or move back depending on circumstances, but nothing is fixed permanently. As it resolves all the difficulties.
