Phnom Penh – Tith Sothea, the government adviser and mouthpiece for the Press and Quick Reaction Unit (PQRU crew) of the Council of Ministers, rejected the report issued by a group of Civil Society organizations indicating that freedom of expression in Cambodia is being oppressed by the government and that opposition MPs are always being dealt with the law when there are problems between them and the government or government officials.
Tith Sothea said in the afternoon of 14 Sept 2010 that the group of civil society’s decision to issue the report is a wrong action that does not reflect democracy in Cambodia that the people are promoting (sic!), furthermore, this report does not have clear bases and it was issued by small group that is politically-oriented. Tith Sothea added that, for those who contravene the law, they will be dealt with the judicial system because the Cambodian tribunal is fair (sic!), therefore those who have problems [with the government], they will be dealt by the judicial system.

Why won`t reporters who have the balls to ask this Tith guy if Cambodia is so free why won`t Ah Tith say something bad about the government right there to the media and see what will happen to him?

A while back this traitor was running around begging the international community to go after Hun Sen for kicking him out from the Senate. Now, this leech has become a disgrace to his nation and his ancestor. What a dog!
Tith Sothea has to act stupin in order to hold on to his job . If he doen't lie he will lose his job .

i think mr. tith sothea is right to some degree about how the opposition handle the so-called democracy. it is easy for them to mix things up despite many progresses were made in cambodia's journey toward democracy. opposition and company have a tendency to exaggerate their claim nonstop to paint bad picture of cambodia. their name "opposition says a lot about their true character, to oppose gov't, etc... so, it is wise for the international donors, etc to trust but verify at the time same. opposition people have a tendency to criticize anything and everything cambodia does, because they are evil, and perhaps radical in their view, etc. i don't think opposition encourage unity in cambodia, instead they are partisan and play their game that way in the name of democracy, discredit others in the process. perhaps they are really hypocrites! they seemed to have this superior attitude against everybody in cambodia. i hope they will not win election as if could derail cambodia with their radicalism. cambodia does not need that kind of destructive mentality, really!

the word opposition does not mean bad. it is simply mean opposite.
opposite of plus is minus
opposite of minus is plus
opposite of good is bad
opposite of bad is good
etc... etc......
in political term "opposition party" mean contestant party, opponent, contender, competitor, etc… It doesn't justify anyone charactor. However, the opposition party do oppose the government unethical charactoristic. And should the citizens.
Without oppositions and some true NGOs, Cambodia would be much much worst. Hun Xen would pitch an easy slow ball for his master Youn to hit an easier homerun in Srok Khmer.

You're right some of the opposition supporters are just a bunch of non-achievers who could not find a real job in the West, so they go to Cambodia to stir up all the troubles. Some of them spend their life poluting KI blog. Read their comments - can they say anything intelligent beside the f*#@ words or something alike?
