Prime Minister Hun Sen has called on all citizens, regardless of political persuasion, to register for commune elections scheduled for July next year.
Speaking to about 4,000 graduating students yesterday at Phnom Penh’s Diamond Island, the premier said that since 2008 some 10,000 soldiers had been unable to register because of armed conflict along the Cambodia-Thai border over the disputed Preah Vihear temple area.
“I would like to appeal generally, it doesn’t matter which political party you will vote for ... you have to register and check your name on the voter list,” he said.
The premier specifically urged military personnel and monks to register.
Sam Rainsy Party lawmaker Son Chhay questioned how genuine the premier’s public appeals were, which he said contradicted the Cambodian People’s Party history of rigging votes by duplicating voter names or spelling them incorrectly.
“We found improper registrations were the bad behaviour of the CPP local authorities; this continues to be a problem there has to be a mechanism to discipline people who are not respecting the process,” he said.
Son Chhay said when he checked his name on the electoral last Friday it was spelt wrong. It had the wrong birth date and the wrong address.
In the voter registration process that is running from September 1 to October 15, the National Election Committee has reported that thus far 57,094 more citizens have registered in 1,543 communes, bringing the national total to 8,894,219.

But this peace has a huge price to pay: Khmer people will become a minority in Cambodia in the near future. Look at the massive influx of Yiekcongs into Cambodia everyday. Yiekcong's plan to absorb Cambodia has been working smoothly.
But if Ah Kwack lost the election in 2013, Ah Yiekcongs will not allow Cambodia to have peace anymore. Ah yiekcongs who live inside Cambodia will go to the jungle to create a fake civil war. Then, some Khmer people will say "Khmer mean Kam". But who creates Kam for Khmer people? The answer is Ah Yiekcongs.
Khmer people just remember this: with its puppet government in power, Ah Yiekcongs allow Cambodia to have peace.

Well...If Cambodia has peace because the Vietcong or Yiekong allows Cambodia to have peace then the Super Power play no role in the world! Cambodia will have peace and must have peace for economic reason which outweigh military invasion or occupation! Simply put economic bring more benefits then the military intervention!
If the Vietcong don't want peace and China want peace!
I have serious doubt if the Vietcong want to start another war! Even if they win and the guerrilla warfare and of course economic embargo will get them at the end!

One of KI-Media member who has his name in Facebook as Khmer Sovannaphumi but his real name is Pang Sokhoeun, former political asylum and now living in Sweden. He always copies news from here to post in his facebook profile to promote himself, but right now, he tries to remove and blocked anyone who dares to reveal his con activity particular he tries to hide what he has cheated his wife (Sreypov Chea) by having a girlfriend (Sokunthear Sam) behind his wife back. Now, his girlfriend had run way from him after she knew his cheating.
A con man Pang Sokhoeun as well as KI-Media like to insult to the government officers who have affairs, but himself does even worse than other people. What a shame!
