For Cambodian who have a good job/carrer, do not complaint about Cambodia but instead they use their money and spend a vacation there. They had a good time and they will be back in Cambodia next year !!!!

The majority of the trouble in Cambodia has been causing by Vietnam such as creating the Khmer Vietminh to fight Khmer and then put a dumb ass Hun Sen to control Khmer people so that Vietnam can make its plan of colonizing Cambodia materialized
During the Khmer Rouge era, Khmer Vietminh has played a dominant role at killing innocent Khmers. Then another group of Khmer Vietminh played the game by pretending to ask Vietnam to rescue Cambodia. Actually, all those scenes were well orchestrated by Vietnam. It was a meticulous scheme.
Because of so many million Vietnamese have infiltrated into Cambodia, even the full implementation of the 1991 Paris accord, Cambodia will have a problem to deal with those illegal Vietnamese who have the right to vote. That is how Vietnam caused trouble to Cambodia. Using Khmer's hand (Hun Sen) to kill Khmer.

None of Khmer people wants civil war. Any war in Cambodia was always initiated by your boss Vietnam. Tell me which Cambodian war did not involve with Vietnam? And the civil war that Hun Sen was talked about will be initiated by Vietnam too, aiming at destabilizing Cambodia and swallow it. I am fully support Paris peace agreement because of this treaty, Cambodia can be saved from colonialisation and Cambodian can be freed to travel in and out today. Only this treaty can allow Cambodian to make a real reconciliation. But most of our so-called leaders have highkacked that Peace treaty for themselves and not for general public. For a real National reconciliation, we must go through all reparations of all people around the country to have their community, their house and their local infrastructures to be rebuilt and every family must have equal lands, equal National wealth. But so far, how much each family got from that treaty? nothing? Only Shanouk and his family got $US 10 millions a year from each budget year. But other people have lost their lives, their lands and now they are to be exported for housemaids in foreign country. Is it good enough? I have even heard that after Hun Sen agreeing to ban these exportation of housemaids, some people are insisting to carry exportation for foreign income. What idiot they are to export their own people? If Cambodia has a population similar to vietnam or Thailand or China, then I would support for that exportation. But now Cambodian people is becoming a minority even in their own country and they still want exportation is it OK?

our khmer language is very beautiful and is always the backbone of cambodia. all khmer people should start using our khmer language more and more all the time with each other and in our country, etc... we should be proud of our khmer language. i'm just writing in english now to get the message out, but i use khmer language everyday with my khmer family, khmer friends, and even in cambodia and everywhere i go and meet khmer people. that's how we should be, proud of our khmer language by using it more daily and learning about it, etc... never be ashamed to use our khmer language with each other. khmer is a beautiful language when used properly and civilly like an educated, well-mannered person. of course, we have slangs and profenity as well, but we shouldn't use that with each other all the time.
the key in getting along is proper communication. we have tell others how we feel and let each other know what we really mean when we communicate. it'll take us a long way with our language usage.

As can be seen from the comments here, the Cambodians are hopelessly divided not based so much on reason and logic (since a lot of them have none or refuse to have one), but on political and personal affiliation to the political party and individuals they cherish.
That is exactly how Cambodia has lost her land so definitely more loss is inevitable and there are those who feel sorry for the loss and those who think it is ok to lose a little bit more since we have been losing the land all along anyway as right now I am making money and doing well so I won't want to change the status quo.

Hun Sen has said recently that he will leave power if he lost the parliamentary elections in 2013.
