i feel sorry the for small, innocent and helpless children that died the most. i have a feeling it could be a murder-suicide. usually a murder-suicide often involved strong bond or love for the family, the father probably felt sad for the small children who lost their mom a couple years earlier, so they had to take them to the grave with him. you know how some people with mental illness can do. i wouldn't discard the father's mental status along with some probe into finding the killer, etc because for now, everything about it is pure speculation or personal opinion. of course there are still a lot of work to be done in the investigation of this case further. it would be nice if france would send their forensic experts and other relevant experts to help solve the case so we all can know the truth. the children shouldn't have to die like this, you know!
