Boeung Kak Lake Resident demanding the city hall to solve their problem

At least, there are around 100 residents of Boeung Kak lake remained who gathering in front of the city hall on the morning of 21 May 2012 with purpose to demand the city hall authority to posting the border of 12.44Hectares and provide land title to the 94 families who excluded from the 12.44Hectares.

As resulted, the 9 representatives of the 94 families who excluded from 12.44hectares are allowed to meet with the city hall authority in the meeting room of the city hall for negotiation.

A woman who participated in the protesting told us that if the city hall authority do not give them the expected outcome, then they plan to block the road in front of the city hall when their 9 representatives come out from the meeting.

The citizens who were affected by land concessions need a national leader. You need to be that leader. Gather the strengths from every affected areas. The number should reach tens of thousands to come to Phnom Penh and demand your rights. Then you will be heard!
