SRP MP MU Sochua meeting with Borei Keila residents detained at the Prey Speu social center on 18 January 2012. Mrs. Mu Sochua is currently being sued by the director of the Prey Speu center who accused her of helping 18 residents escape from the center. The residents were detained when they were protesting to demand compensations for their evictions.

On 28 November 2011, 4 residents of Boeung Kak Lake (with flower garland) were released by the court on 29 November 2011. The cops arrested them when they were protesting in front of the Phnom Penh city hall regarding the Boeung Kak Lake land dispute.

01 March 2012: Buot Chenda, a worker who was shot, was resting at the Calmette Hospital. On 20 February 2012, thousands of workers at the Koaway shoe factory in Bavet city, Svay Rieng province, protested to demand for bonus and food stipend. During the protest, an unknown man (it was the city mayor: Chhouk Bandit) shot at the workers, causing 3 injured workers.
