SEOUL (Reuters) - When North Korea's new leader needs to know something about his arch enemy, he can ask his wife. In contrast to the family dynasty of dictators she has married into, Ri Sol-ju has actually been to South Korea.

North Korean television on Wednesday put to rest weeks of speculation by announcing that the young, mystery woman recently seen accompanying leader Kim Jong-un was indeed his wife.

Ri was a part of a youth supporters group for the Asian Athletics Championships in South Korea in 2005, a lawmaker who attended a meeting with the intelligence service told Reuters on Thursday.

I have recently heard American diplomatic personnel describing Mr. Hun Sen of Cambodia, his wife and his "children" based on a totally bogus biography, created by Vietnamese Intelligence.

Mr. Hun Sen has been awarded honorary degrees from American Colleges, based on his position and his formal educational background. His "legend," created for him by the Vietnamese, has him being a "College student" or sometimes a "High School student leader," prior to going to the jungle, to join the Khmer Rouge. In reality he attended exactly four years of Primary School. Any further "education" he received, came from Vietnamese Political Cadre.

Three years ago, when Mr. Hun Sen's advisors were attempting to gain myself as an ally, I was presented with the United Nations Geological Survey of Cambodia, along with a map. I was dumbfounded to learn that Mr. Hun Sen and his minions "own" all the natural resources of the Kingdom of Cambodia, with the exception, at that time, of three small mineral deposits marked "FUNCINPEC" on the map.

I asked Hun Sen's men, what percentage of profits, from any joint venture with American companies, exploiting these resources, would go to the National Treasury. The answer was astounding; "NONE!" The profits would be shared fifty-fifty, with the American Company putting up the initial development costs. Even better there would be no tax on resources shipped out of the country; "The port belongs to us and so does the Customs Service."

The above should give you some insight into how Hun Sen has amassed huge wealth and continues to enjoy the support of American businessmen. In other words; "Hun Sen and business 100% - Cambodia and Cambodians 0%. I would recommend not one dime of U.S. Taxpayer money go to this Government until some of the millions stolen by Hun Sen are spent first.

An astute observer noted: She has to show the stamp on her ballot to a person next to a box first before putting it in a box.

Nevertheless, bad wagging tongues in Phnom Penh have circulated rumors that for every hit a CPP cop inflict on a woman or child during forced evictions in Cambodia, our Dear Mother will suffer another bump on her body, starting from her face. After all, they claimed, which Mother wouldn't feel their children's pains? Although these wagging tongues claimed that it should be "an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth", they believe "a hit for a bump" is not a square deal (sic!).

Phnom Penh – In the morning of 29 February, about 200 PPIU (Phnom Penh International University) students and administrators decided to kowtow and pray to a large picture of Hun Xen and Bun Rany, his Chumteav, that was set up in a large meeting room located on the 6th floor of the PPIU. The students and administrators were praying for the pair of inert picture to help Mrs. Tep Kolap and her husband to be released from jail temporarily. Tep Kolap is the rector for the university and Heng Chheang, her husband and chairman of the PPIU board of directors, were accused of embezzling Kok An (the name says it all) who is an in-law relative of Heng Chheang and a crony of Hun Xen.

Kong Bunthy, a PPIU law professor, told DAP-news that the ceremony was held to read a letter to Hun Xen’s picture begging the latter to help find justice for Tep Kolap and her husband so that they may be released on bail and so that they can build their legal case, take care of their children, as well as continuing the building of the PPIU campus.

KI-Media Note: As far as we can tell, Hun Xen and Bun Rany’s picture refused to budge to the kowtow.

Women from Borei Keila who escaped Prey Speu social affairs centre on Wednesday broke down and wept this morning in front of family and supporters as they made another plea for housing at a press conference at rights group Licadho’s Phnom Penh headquarters.

Armed with copies of a Borei Keila construction agreement from 2004 thumbprinted by village representatives, development firm Phan Imex and municipal officials, women spoke of their detainment and called on Prime Minister Hun Sen and the Cambodian Red Cross to find them housing and food.

It was also announced that they would file civil and criminal complaints against Phan Imex.

Eighteen women and two children escaped from the social affairs centre on Wednesday after being held for a week without charge.

Uy Sam Ath, the director of disaster management of the Cambodian Red Cross said that the Red Cross has no plan to help evictees. He said that the Red Cross’ goal is only to help flood victims, the poor, orphans, elderly people and those with AIDS, etc…

The Phan Imex company evicted Borei Keila residents from their houses in Phnom Penh. They were sent to live about 30 km from the city.

Human rights organizations have expressed deep concerns about the new locations for Borei Keila residents because they are facing food shortage and they need immediate help from humanitarian organizations.

A Cambodian saying goes like this: “It’s better that your boat sinks in the middle of the river rather than having your house destroyed by fire.” How does this apply to Borei Keila residents?

The residents saw their houses smashed and bulldozed by the Phan Imex company and by the local cops. All that is left is empty lots, belonging of the residents were destroyed in a blink.

Sia Phearom, the director of the Housing Rights Task Force, said that residents from Borei Keila community are no different from house fire victims because they lost all their belongings after Phan Imex destroyed their houses in the middle of Phnom Penh city, houses that they used to live in peace.

A Khmer-language book detailing Prime Minister Hun Sen’s role in Cambodian politics and history was launched in Phnom Penh yesterday.

Hun Sen: Politics and power in Khmer history for over 40 years was written by journalist Chhay Sophal, who has almost 20 years experience in the field.

Chhay Sophal said the book – which is more than 350 pages long – described political events and social issues in Cambodian history since 1970.

“[The book] does not describe only Samdech Hun Sen, but also talks about members of the Royal family, [former prime minister] Son Sann, [former prime minister] Lon Nol, top Khmer Rouge leaders, [opposition leader] Sam Rainsy and [Human Rights Party president] Kem Sokha,” he said.

The book also examines the lives and loves of Hun Sen and his wife Bun Rany.
